Should Pacquiao have stayed at 140lb/Jnr. Welterweight?
Pacquiao's sensational 6-minute demolishing of Ricky Hatton:

This was Pacquiao's one and only fight in the 140lb/10-stone division, yet I believe this to be Pacquiao at his physical peak.
Do you think he would have been served, from a longevity stand-point, to dominate the 140lb division instead of gaining more muscle mass to compete at Welter? Did the temptation of facing the much bigger Cotto, Margarito and Mosley serve to diminish Pacquiao's physical prime?

Physically yes 140 was a great weight for him.
But financially he tore it up at 147.I do not blame him for going for the money bouts.

No, Pacquiao proved his greatness by moving up and beating bigger opponents. If he stayed at 140 then all we would've heard is talk of how he never challenged himself with the bigger guys. Nothing he did diminished him, if anything it made him stronger.

He would have never been able to.
He's been rehydrating to welter since his days as a super featherweight.
I bet he won't ever try to make 140 now, even tho there are some big fight there for him.
'Cause he can't.
He is short. Not small.

Did you post as Brut account 1 then contradict yourself from Brut account 2 to make it more believable?

how would one go about proving to everyone here that they don't have multiple usernames?koolkc107 wrote:You going to MAN-UP and put your money where your mouth is?Ricky_ wrote:koolkc107 wrote:He would have never been able to.![]()

this is the mark of the man, he chased exciting fights at whatever weight he needed to. Pacman is a legend, no denying.

Why is everyone so obsessed with Brut?

Like he made 143 with no problem for Chris Algeri and Marquez? He's only weight above 147 at a weigh in twice...and came in lower after that.
Re: Should Pacquiao have stayed at 140lb/Jnr. Welterweight?
I would go along these lines. I think he could have continued to dominate at 140 (and by that I mean not take the losses he has, great as he has been), but he made an awful lot more money by going up.tiny_acres wrote:Physically yes 140 was a great weight for him.

Then again when I think about it, it's not like those few extra pounds would have made much difference either way, so he would have had to stay at 140/avoid fighting JMM again for my scenario to work out.

Whatever proof the accuser finds sufficient will be given after the admin has their $200sucracristo wrote:how would one go about proving to everyone here that they don't have multiple usernames?koolkc107 wrote:You going to MAN-UP and put your money where your mouth is?Ricky_ wrote:

That can include IP addresses, a conference call with all the usernames, whatever is ample proof to any rational person.
I am certain the admins would have some good ideas about what would constitute proof.

Brut is everywhere. I turned on my tv today, and I saw Charlie Sheen, but deep down, I knew it was Brut.
