Full credit to Crolla, Perez was the WBA Champion and he KO'd him, no better way to win a World Title.
And from what I've been hearing, Kevin Mitchell is fighting for the Interim WBA Lightweight Title soon...
So should he win, that could really open up a Crolla vs Mitchell fight.

I think the OP is bullshitting about his bet, but I've been thinking about backing Perez myself. Crolla is the betting favourite and I don't think he should be.

Also the OP can't say Perez is world class but Crolla isn't when most people thought Crolla won the first fight.

Why BS? I know a couple of guys who never bet anything less than 4 figures. I'll take a bit on Perez... Crolla is my new Ricky Burns. Never rated the guy even when he kept proving me wrong. I think Crolla is European level at best.

Well they must be terrible punters because I can never get anywhere near that amount on. I tried to back Canelo to beat Cotto by KO at the weekend and could only manage £200 with VB, £180 with Hills and £100 with Coral. So anybody who never bets anything less than 4 figures must be terrible punters because if they were any use at all their accounts would be closed or restricted at best.

He got a bit excited in that fight and went for the shoot out. Which given Derry's power is as daft as it gets. But he learnt from it. I thought he beat Derry pretty cleanly in the rematch and only got a draw. Aside from that fight his chin and defence are brilliant and he is slowly improving his movement and punch variety. I thought it was already looking ominous for Perez in that fight, if you get to the 5th round with Crolla and he hasn't been troubled he's only going to come on stronger and stronger.

A manc winning a world title in that arena with a body shot is about as good as it gets. Top lad, deserves it all.

Him and Flanagan after a couple of defenses against the usual tin can and then Mitchell will be an immense 2016 for him. Him and Flanagan is a real 50/50 and I think he'll out work Mitchell before that.

What about Burns? Do you think he's still relevant? Easy fight to make for Hearn and a good fight IMO.

I think Burns is still very relevant, he is well conditioned, tough as anyone in the division and can box to a game plan. We've got some excellent lightweights in the UK. I enjoy watching Crolla box, he's someone you can point out and say 'That's how to do it', he makes slipping and throwing combinations look easy.

Excellent point (in fact I think I have said it before myself so it must be... :-)

As opposed to so many top boxers who at some point, in some way rely on various physical gifts not bestowed upon mere mortals, pretty much everything crolla does seems so 'teachable', if you will. Id be interested to see arlovskis perspective on that but I don't think i have seen a more technically-competent and rounded operator in Britain for a while. Don't get me wrong there are more 'talented/gifted' types, but if you were to try teaching a kid to box by watching one fighter alone I don't think you could do much better than crolla
