Klitschko normally wears the big jacket with padded shoulders into the ring that makes him appear bigger, I reckon he is wearing thick trainers too so it cancels out the height difference, little psychological manoeuvres

I am pleased and encouraged that Tyson kept it together; no point in burning-through and wasting energy at this stage of proceedings. The fight is sold and you've given Wlad something to think about, so just be focussed and let that adrenaline kick-in when it really matters tomorrow night. Nicely played Tyson.

Wlad is always in shape but interesting to note that Fury has gone light....think Peter F still sees Tyson's best route as being super busy, mobile and boxing Wlad. Maybe they are planning to build-up a lead with Tyson throwing more and seeing if Wlad can actually keep the pace?

I am looking forward to the fight but are you sure about that quote or do you mean specifically heavyweight? Even heavyweight I was probably more excited about the haye v wlad fight easy to dismiss it now with hindsight but most really looked forward to what Hayes speed and power would be like.

Not having a knock I am genuinely looking forward to tomorrow.

Fury's height has been listed as 6'8.5" , and I think the 6'9" is just a round up. I've seen Wlad listed as 6'6.5" too ... So there may only be a 2 inch difference between them. Wlad's chunky trainers could definitely close the gap.

According to Peter Fury (on Facebook) he said if you watch the film, you notice when they take the shoes off to get on the scales, that when Klitschko got on the scales Fury's chest height stays the same--- and when Klitschko puts his shoes back on they become even in height. Peter more or less said that Klitschko has to be wearing lifts in his shoes. Which I agree with, because are we forgetting this picture?




Clearly, Fury is the taller man. Tennis shoes and all. Bare foot and all, he's at least 3" taller than Klitschko. I would also argue, that when you see Klitschko in certain outfits--- especially suits--- he appears to be the same bulk-size as Fury. But when they are wearing similar clothes, Fury is clearly bulkier than Klitschko. So, I would argue that Klitschko wears shoulder pads in his suits.

That all being said, to come in at 247 pounds---- I think makes alot of sense, considering Klitschko has fast hands himself. Fury's best ring performances have come around that weight in the past. And I think considering Klitschko is a great champion, speed is the name of the game here--- cus it wont be size alone to win it. Fury has to be more fluid, and have the greater reflexes. If he came into the 250's-260 pound range he wouldn't have it.

I will say it is hilarious some people are saying Fury looks like crap in comparison to Klitschko on facebook and other sites. Everyone's body is different. There's only one pound difference in weight. And considering Fury is substantially taller, heavier, etc its proof positive that he's had the better training camp--- or has worked harder--- than Klitschko has, because he had to lose more.

I think it could be something like Lennox Lewis. Lewis was always listed as being 6'5" but even Emmanuel Stewart said that Lewis was taller than that. I know for years, Vladimir was listed as 6'7" and his brother Vitali as 6'8" so it could be that Klitschko is taller than stated. But that second picture, him being taller than Fury.... lifts in the shoes...

Klitschko might be wearing Hollywood-style lifts on his heels in order to try and diminish the size difference. If he is, he must be the first 6'6'' man in history to wear such an accoutrement.

I'm sure. It's just the way I am in my water. When was the last time a white Brit fought for the genuine world heavyweight title? What's more a white Brit from the north west of England, which is where I live? Add to that that unlike some I think the Klitschko brothers have been great for boxing on our continent. So these are two fighters I like, I don't care who wins, I just want to find out what Fury is capable of at this level and if Wlad still has it.

Bizarre the machismo over heights. We don't know that Fury is taller than Wlad, just going off listed heights which I imagine Fury would be keen to exaggerate as part of his marketing is being 'a 6'9" giant'.

In the pic with Fury wearing training shoes he looks an inch taller, in the one with Wlad wearing the trainers he looks a shade taller. My 'case closed' would be they're very similar in height. But other posters seem resolute that Wlad's trainers are doctored and Fury's aren't.
I've never heard of a 3" riser in a trainer, given the back of the trainer is 3" at best that would put your foot out of the shoe!

Anyway, I'd guess Fury is an inch-ish taller. None of this matters though, Fury hasn't the dig to keep Wlad scared and we've seen Fury put over by people with half the power of Wlad. Nothing on Fury's record suggests he's at Wlad's level IMO; I think the sell on the fight has been great having us all believe there's much chance of any other outcome than a Klitschko W.

I've really grown to like Fury watching the build up to this, hope he's competitive and it's a proper fight rather than the cagey jab fest it could very well be, and he comes back well if he loses.

Given that Wlad is a multi millionaire and sponsored by a sports shop, it wouldn't be that different to get doctored trainers. As Tyson takes some confidence from the size advantage he enjoys against most, I wouldn't put it past Wlad to try take that away from him.
