ok i just see the AJ vs Whyte fight in the pub and joshua looked well short of world title class to me if i was fury i'd be more than happy i didn't see much in joshua .yet .right now fury would school him .......i might be wrong as like i said i see it in the pub so not the best place to make a opinion ..

I hear one time AJ who every casual wally fan thought could beat klitschko, Fury and David Haye if he fought them tomorrow, looked like he was about to crumble against and unproven domestic level fighter, incidental the first ever full time fighter he has ever faced.

He's at least a year and a half away from facing anyone like Fury or Haye. It wasnt that he was wobbled, it was his very poor recovery, any seasoned fighter would have jumped all over him and polished him off.

What I go out of that fight:

Whyte has a chin.. Joshua doesn't have a glass one..

Joshua needs to learn head movement.

Fury would easily beat both with boxing and movement and counter punching. I know there is a massive hype train behind Joshua but it isn't ready to pull into the station just yet.. 12-18 months maybe.

About to crumble?? Joshua was shook up at worst and Whyte can bang. I'd probably say if you took an old, shot, unfit, gunshy Klitchko out of the picture then Whyte is a better win than anything Fury has on his record.

I agree Joshua is a matchroom hypejob and think he'll be found out but let's not act like Tyson Fury is a great fighter. He's a clumsy oversized oaf with a suspect chin and a ko waiting to happen.

Joshua will lose to a fighter with a granite chin that will absorb his best shots then take him late. Fury can't simply run from Joshua like he did Klitchko on the basis that Joshua isn't a 40 year old man.

Fury shouldn't even be thinking about Joshua & nor should Joshua be thinking about fighting for the title right now.

Fury should be concentrating on Wladimir & looking forward to unifying with Wilder if he gets past Wladimir again.

Joshua is still a relative novice & is at least a year or 3 decent opponents from being championship ready.

What everyone is forgetting is that apart from Whyte's titanium chin he is a crap boxer and had Joshua going at times. Both of them got found out last night, cant remember a fight where the hype has exceeded the quality as much as this. Joshua will probably get steered to a paper title e.g. the IBF and Whyte will get some paydays on the back of his gutsy effort, but both are way short of top level

Good point, but Joshua and Fury are about the same age - so I see it less likely that Joshua can make the kind of improvements that Fury has in the last few years. I think a lot of Fury's improvements are based on him getting his diet and training on track, and the time it's taken for him to 'grow into' that 6'8.5" frame. Joshua's already at his physical peak by the looks of it, and last night his movement looked fairly poor at times - I can't see any way he could move around like Fury did against Wlad for 12 rounds. He's ticked the size, power and determination boxes - but I'm still not sold on his stamina, resiliance and ring smarts.

This is true. It turned out to be the fight we've all been waiting to see - Joshua facing someone who could take him into the later rounds & would hit him back. Now suddenly Joshua is 'exposed' just because these exact things happened.

Admittedly there's still a lot of work to do - Whyte landed with the right hand far more often than he should have done - but at least Joshua answered the questions posed of him. It was a valuable learning fight & will hopefully set him in good stead for the future.
