No disrespect to Jimmy Kelly but that was a truly awful opponent for a world title fight and I fear BJS will be fed a whole host of soft defences too.
Agree completely with the above. I'm happy to let their performances in the ring do the talking. Fair play to the lot of them, they have done something I will never achieve.
On subject of BJS in his interviews on Youtube he is always very down to earth in that he frequently acknowledges he isn't a P4P great, but fair play to the guy he is a modern W/Champ, and I'm looking forward to continuing to get behind him. I think a mooted Cotto bout could be a great match up for both fighters. BJS has acknowledged stamina issues, and stated he has in the past bulked up on junk food and then in losing the weight it has had a detrimental effect on his stamina. Whether better nutrition is a total solution of course remains to be seen, as his reasoning behind slowing down against Eubank was that he couldn't get 100% focused on the prep for that fight due to the Eubank will they/won't they Circus, which again has an air of plausibility about it. Either way, no-one is kidding themselves that BJS is a P4P top 3, but I'm personally very much looking forward to seeing how he does as a World Champ.
