Patterson was a two time heavyweight champion, who got BETTER after losing the title, and was robbed from a third title.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:![]()
He beat patterson twice in 1 round, but Floyd ranks higher?
Losing to Ali hurts him but losing to Purity, Brewster, sanders and Fury is cool?
I haven't logged on here in a year, and it seems you've gotten even dumber.
Vladimir's losses to Purrity, Brewster and Sanders came when the man was still a prospect, and green. He has been without a loss in eleven years. Depending on what belts you give credit to, he's made anywhere between 18-23 title defenses. The man's greatly improved, and would have easily defeated the three men he lost to anytime during his time as world champion.
In this sense, Vladimir's quantity easily over-rides Liston's quality. Besides, I have little doubt that Klitschko (either one) would have stopped Patterson as well. Too small. As a matter of fact, Liston was only 6'0" and 210 pounds..... I can't see him doing much either with either Klitschko brother. Let's face it, the men of yesteryear are comparable to modern day light heavyweights.
