Eddie Hearn low profile ?
Eddie seems to be keeping a very low profile 3 weeks in to the new year and no sign of him , no I film interviews yet which is not like him at all . I wonder if he's avoiding they sky PPV issues which were brought up at the back end of last year from Warren's /Fury / Hennesey ? I hope when he does appear Kugan doesn't avoid PPV issues and asks the relevant questions , but I've got a feeling he will be under orders not to dig too far!

Re: Eddie Hearn low profile ?
He said he'd be announcing AJ's next bout around now.
Re: Eddie Hearn low profile ?
I think you're over thinking it,Kugan was on holiday last week and his first show of the year is not until next week. His last IFL video was pretty clear that he knows that allegedly can do ppv`s on the Sky box office platform so he used the word Sky Sports box office allot. He will come back as cocky as ever when it`s time to sell the Quigg-Frampton ppv.I also think people give him a bit of a hard time over his comments over the last year when he said you can`t do ppvs without me,because at the time there was no rival platform in place and set up but now there is it will be interesting as allegedly subscriber to see how it all works out.
Re: Eddie Hearn low profile ?
he's on holiday in the Carribbean.

Indeed, Frank claiming Eddie is blatantly lying is rather disingenuous. Because at the time of making the statements they were 100% accurate.ashedward wrote:I think you're over thinking it,Kugan was on holiday last week and his first show of the year is not until next week.
If George manages to set up a BNation PPV platform this year it still doesn't make Eddie a liar (not in this instance, at least) because it still wouldn't be classed as "sky sports PPV"
Re: Eddie Hearn low profile ?
I don't think Eddie has ever been anything other than transparent when discussing sky PPV.
If it involves a UK fighter then he's involved. In the case of Floyd vs Pac, he wasn't involved on the basis of that exclusive signed arrangement.
At least that's how I understood it.

Re: Eddie Hearn low profile ?
More than possibleProbably in hiding after a bad reaction to his last botox session?
But I am going with the Carribbean option....Eddie lounging around the infinity pool, giving that tan some love, and making doubly sure someone a bit less rich and famous feels slightly shite/insecure about themselves.
"Not being funny fella, but does that wristband give you access to this VIP pool area?"

Yes, but that arrangement only covers Sky Sports PPVs. The challenge is that Sky also have a PPV facility for events which don't fall under the Sky Sports banner & which would therefore not be covered under Matchroom's exclusivity deal - that's what B0xnati0n want to leverage. To be fair to Camp Eddie, he probably never realised that this was the case.G0mez wrote:I don't think Eddie has ever been anything other than transparent when discussing sky PPV.

He is a smarmy little Lord fontleroy daddies boy.
Having been brought up with his multi millionaire dad going to the best schools etc. he has spent some time with some boxers and now likes to give the impression that he could be a bit if a hard knock and comes out with his mockney bollocks.
I am not a fan of that celebrity boxing shite but I would pay PPV money to watch this prick in a fight with them other 2 smarmy pricks (sons of another promoter)
Re: Eddie Hearn low profile ?
First show of the year in 10 days so we'll hear from him next week.
Re: Eddie Hearn low profile ?
This is exactly what's he doing. Nailed on!Bodyshot3 wrote:More than possibleProbably in hiding after a bad reaction to his last botox session?![]()

Re: Eddie Hearn low profile ?
No sky sports shows in feb. Seems the sky sports deal for 20 fights a year includes the ppv. Thought when the deal was announced sky sports viewers would be getting 20 fights per year/season.

Re: Eddie Hearn low profile ?
Don't know the details of course, but is there a deal in place for more than 20 if it's required? Just thinking of a) potential rematches and b) the bar seems to be lowering for what's a headline fight.broomy7s wrote:No sky sports shows in feb. Re: Eddie Hearn low profile ?
Anybody else think the Quigg / Frampton undercard looks a bit sparse ? would have thought it being such a big fight it would warrant something decent backing it up .
Re: Eddie Hearn low profile ?
It`s disappointing for sure, but not surprising to me,the main event fighters will be on shitloads so they didn`t want to spread the budget and they have already got the ticket money and have decided a good undercard will add nothing to the ppv,it would backfire badly if someone gets a cut early which stops the fight.rd350lc wrote:Anybody else think the Quigg / Frampton undercard looks a bit sparse ? would have thought it being such a big fight it would warrant something decent backing it up .

Yep, actually quite glad I didn't get tickets now as the view would be shite anyway so would rather buy the PPV and watch it on telly to get a decent view of the action, given there's not much worth watching on the undercard.rd350lc wrote:Anybody else think the Quigg / Frampton undercard looks a bit sparse ? would have thought it being such a big fight it would warrant something decent backing it up .

Re: Eddie Hearn low profile ?
Undercard is taking a little bit of shape. There's probably at least 3-4 fights to be added to the below...
Charlie Edwards v Luke Wilton
Isaac Lowe v Marco McCullogh
Luke Campbell v TBA
Ryan Burnett v TBA
I'd say probably two "names" to be added and two prospects.

Scott Fitzgerald and Josh Taylor added to the bill. Not exactly got anyone gushing, but it's better than nothing.

Have to admit I'm looking forward to him attempting to justify the Brook Bizier fight.

Think Burton might be fighting Shinkwin for vacant British light heavy title on this show

Shinkwin's with Warren, almost certain to go to purse bids.Manchester Massive wrote:Think Burton might be fighting Shinkwin for vacant British light heavy title on this show
