Fighters with awkward styles.

Post by VG_Addict »

Who are some fighters, past or present, who were hard to fight against because of their awkward style?

Richar Abril seems to stand out for me. Brandon Rios had a nightmare catching him clean but came away with the points decision somehow?

The only time I've ever seen a boxer punch their opponent in the head whilst the head was actually in the floor after a knockdown.
Insane stuff.

Diego Chaves. Relentless fighter just getting better. I can definitely see why Kell Brook ducked out on that fight.

James Toney's boxing (at lower weights, anyway) was beautiful, not awkward.
Difficult fighter to compete against doesn't = awkward.

No idea. I can only assume the ref figured, that after all he'd seen for 6 round or so, that Maussa had no fvcking clue what he was doing.

Fair enough. I think that Toney was awkwardly beautiful in his approach. Awkward is not (always) equivalent to ugly.
