That would be my 2nd choice because he has personally mentioned Garcia's name but everyone knows that it would be Manny because of more money, don't fool yourself into believing no one would want to see a rematch. There are plenty of folks who want to see them fight again just not for $100 ppv.

I believe they could still sell it for $50 or no more than $60 ppv but they won't get as many as they did the first time out.

Mayweather if he comes back. Will fight another buddy...Broner. They will shoulder roll each other for 12 rounds. Mayweather will land about 100 punches Broner under 40. Mayweather wins 120-108 twice. 118-110 on another card. Neither fighter will have a mark on their face.

Other than that I think Mayweather will shock the world and stay retired...

nah, i doubt floyd will come back. he's becoming less relevant as the days ware on and for me, although he has fantastic boxing skills that definitely comand respect, boxing genius or not, he cherry picked, ducked many fighters in their prime and he doesn't want anything to go with the GGG's of the world.

noone wants to see him come back and fight a berto type fight (i hope). although he is money may, so if theres a decent paycheck to be had he might rear his head again, but i don't care to see mayweather box again personally.

I really think, (and hope) Mayweather stays retired. I'm sure he misses the spotlight, but not getting punched in the ring at his age. It gets harder to get in shape, and longer to heal. He can get as much press as he wants as a promoter, but is still arrogant enough to say he can do this or that. He did a lot for boxing, but its time for some new stars to take over.

Let us wait and see what happens with the Bradley fight first. But don't forget what a headache it was to get all the parties together to make that fight happen and almost all of them said never again! I would like to see it especially if Manny beats Bradley resoundingly. But I say that Manny that can't galvanize the public that captured attention and was magic is LONG GONE. Manny would need something against Bradley that would put his name on the top of all Sunday headlines. And I would still say that will not be enough. But if you are right I would watch and you would watch don't get me wrong. I just can't see how it would be any different than last year is all.

Still on that IV nonsense, huh?

Mayweather has been completely vindicated by all the authoritative bodies involved.

NSAC and USADA have both signed off on what happened and assured folks no cheating occurred.

A USADA collection official RIGHT THERE IN THE ROOM and you still refuse to understand how
this made everything on the level, with samples collected before, during, and after the hydration.

I explained to you in another thread how the ABP (Athlete Biological Passport) would have exposed
a cheating attempt by now, but you can believe what you like- or tell WADA to get involved,
as they should have by now if anything looked fishy in relation to Mayweather's ABP.

But we do agree in the belief Floyd will stay retired.

49-0 is somehow more iconic in many folks mind than 50-0, or 51-0-1.

Floyd knows this.

Everytime someone mentions Marciano's mark, they will also mentions Floyd's.
And how he was great for much longer and over better competition than Rocky.

It will take a crapload of money (read: a guarantee equal to or higher than the Pac fight)
to even have Floyd think about signing another contract, and there just isn't ANY fighter
out there right now to support such a guarantee, even Manny (unless he does something
crazy to Tim Bradley to fool PacTards into believing he'd have a real chance in the rematch).
It's not "nonsense" at all. It was clearly questionable behavior for such an advocate for clean and fair competition within the sport of Boxing. And the fact that he's retired when all of this really hit the fan saved him from the aggressive interrogation and accountability that this incident really should have commanded. So THAT is why you won't see Floyd enter that ring again because he'll then have to account for his actions and his "cleanliness".

For any other reason, you are naive to believe that this is exactly how he wanted to go out. An exhibition against Berto. Come on, you're better than that. Not part of the script at all bro. That statute of limitations in the public eye on this issue was all that mattered. He's running and gone unceremoniously. Not a way a legend goes out bro.

Manny has galvanized the public, well at least the gay public and they will come out in droves against him now; all Bradley or Floyd has to do is start making this about his "anti-homosexual" remarks and they will build enough of a fire that people (particularly gays) will come out just to see him get starched.

I believe that Floyd will use that in a rematch and sell it to make it big enough to bring in the crowds, it won't reach the numbers they did the first time but it will get more than what people expect.

If he comes back he should fight Brook, KAHN or Porter. Those would be the toughest fights at 147 and that is why he won't fight those guys. Floyd likes slow guys. He waited for Manny to get slow that is why the fight happened in 2015 and not in 2009 like it should have. You look at Floyd's wins and he likes guys on the downside and that are slow. That is what he will be looking for. The public has no appetite in that rematch though. None.

I really hate having to go through all the myths you placed here like "YOUR" claim that Floyd waited until the younger Manny got slower and that's why the fight did not happen, when in reality that is not the reason why the fight did not take place in 2010.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/boxing--fl ... fight.html

Even Freddie Roach blamed Manny for the fight not taking place back then: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUs8yAS_qTs

So tired of all the BS and lies that people still RETARDLY repeat when the truth is already out there as to why the fight didn't take place back then and it had nothing to do with Floyd waiting for the Younger Manny to get slower, if you believe that LIE after listening to what his own Coach Freddie Roach said and even Ariza said (he was in Packy's camp at that time) then you sir are an idiot.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dP01N8MSijM

Please let's not make this into a back and forth war about who's fault was it and blah, blah, blah which has already been proved to be a lie.

Like I said you look at Floyd's resume and it is badly flawed all over the place. He was declaring himself to be the best ever and yet was fighting guys like Guerrero, Victor Ortiz, Ricky Hatton up in weight JMM up two weight classes, Andre Berto, the list goes on. Boxing is about who you beat and when you beat them. And because of that Floyd's resume just is not all that impressive.

I'm not so sure that boxing's huge, thriving homosexual fan base will shell out a bunch of money to watch Pac/Floyd II. Boxing is nowhere near mainstream enough for Pac's words to play any significant role. Do you really think Mayweather will suddenly play the good guy in his final appearance? I don't. Especially since he is "famous" for his own offensive rants which included racial and gay slurs.

I never mentioned anything about Floyd playing the "Good Guy", all I stated is that he'd use the fact that Manny has the LBGC at his neck and you're fooling yourself if you think Pac's words aren't mainstream enough to play a significant role; why do you think Nike and the other advertisers are dumping him? <<<(rhetorical)

Floyd is business savvy and knows how to exploit certain things, I'm certain he will garner the support of the LGBC to come out against Manny, hell he might even wear a pair of rainbow shorts to turn it into a business venture.

There are people out there now who hate Manny and the pressure from the LGBC has shown it's power and influence, keep thinking that they don't have it in for Manny and you'll soon see them come out in droves against him, don't be surprised to see them turn up outside his fight with Bradley and boycotting him.

Sounds complicated..

If they fought again. Pac vs. Mayweather

Instead Mayweather could replace Beiber in his entourage and substitute him with Neil Patrick Harris..

I think there was an underlying plan for Mayweather to come back and fight Paquiao again in his 50th. But that is now seeming less and less likely.

I have no interest in seeing Mayweather fight someone he already beat especially Paq. Paq should retire. He is past his prime now and all the Paq hype died at the hands of Mayweather.

It was dead well before that. He had already been counted out vs. JMM. That was years before he and Floyd danced for 48 minutes.

It's funny how you go from romanticizing the idea that Floyd somehow waited for Manny to get slower (which I proved wasn't true) to now saying how Floyd's resume isn't all that impressive, then that would basically apply to Manny as well because he has fought basically the same fighters or level of fighters at WW, Rios and Algieri are far worse than Guerrero and Berto (both of them have far better resumes than the aforementioned fighters).

We can go on and on but your point was to take this thread off topic so that you can hurl false accusations at Floyd, if you hate the man that much and want to talk sh*t about him and ruin great threads then why don't you just start a thread in "Off Topic" and title it "I Hate Floyd Mayweather So Let's All Bash Him".

I can find so much hypocrisy in the crap you've written in these last two replies on this that it would be just like talking to a retarded Pactard in 2010, you guys still say the same old manufactured lies and putdowns of Floyd just so you can take away his credibility, if he had lost to Manny I'm sure you'd be here talking about how Pacquiao is the greatest and how he beat the best fighter in the sport with one of the best resumes.

I don't hate the man at all but you think everyone has to slurp Floyd's cock like you do and anyone who does not is a hater. That is not my fault and that is an issue that you will have to settle for yourself. I said earlier on this forum that Floyd could come back and he would beat Garcia easily. But that is not good enough for you. You need an outright admission of people on their knees for Floyd or else you are not happy. Floyd's record and his resume is just not that good. It is greatly flawed and many of his biggest wins have proven to be junk. I have said over and over to you that if you want to go over Floyd's record one by one just let me know. I stand by that. And Floyd dodges and has dodged a lot of guys and all the guys he dodged he could have fought them for his last fight and instead he chose to fight Berto. Fact is he fought Pacman when Pacman was not the same guy and anyone who knows boxing knows that. You look at all the best guys at 147 Garcia-Kahn-Brook-Thurman-Spence-Peterson-Broner- Floyd has fought NONE of them. NONE NOT ONE. And that is what he did his entire career when he moved to 147. Yet he was happy to fight Hatton up in class and JMM up two classes. Instead of fighting the guys that were already there. And that is what Floyd was all about.

If Pac is the bad guy, wouldn't Floyd have to be the good guy? Two bad guys (in a rematch of a stankfest) doesn't really turn anyone on.

We'll wait and see how many gays boycott Manny's (yet they will also come out in droves to buy his PPV against Floyd for some reason...) next fight. I have many gay friends, many who are very active in the community in terms of "social justice". None of them knew Pac made any sort of statement in the first place. To be honest I didn't even know NIKE sponsored Pac, and I have not seen this story show up on any mainstream news outlets. So I guess we'll wait and see.

Well most fights aren't always good guy vs bad guy; Trout vs Cotto, Mosley vs Pac as examples, who would you say is the "bad guy" in either of those bouts??

We will have to wait but things don't look favorable for Manny, he lost 2 million fans on Twitter, if that is an indication of people unwilling to support him or label him a quote unquote "bad guy".

Floyd will never be looked at as a "good guy" no matter who fights.

We'll wait and see how many gays boycott Manny's (yet they will also come out in droves to buy his PPV against Floyd for some reason...) next fight. I have many gay friends, many who are very active in the community in terms of "social justice". None of them knew Pac made any sort of statement in the first place. Floyd makes money off good guy/bad guy. People don't buy his fights to see him shoulder roll his opponents silly for twelve rounds.

I don't do the whole twitter scene, but I'd imagine anyone "dumping" Manny over this is a casual who saw him on a pistachio commercial and hit follow. Do boxing fans really care? Did you stop following Floyd or Hopkins? Tyson back in the day?

Honestly you're lost if you think Floyd has had to do the "good guy/bad guy" thing to sell his fights; he hasn't had to do that since Oscar/everyone who is anyone hated him from that moment on and has wanted to see him get humbled. The casuals are the ones who buy the fights just in case you weren't aware.

There aren't 4 million diehard/hardcore boxing fans like us here on Boxrec that make those PPV numbers skyrocket for Mayweather fights, if you believe that then there's nothing I can say to you to make you believe otherwise.

I'm a real hardcore boxing fan, so nothing a fighter does outside the ring will make me stop following him, I don't like Fury but I will still watch his fights no matter how boring they are, I don't like Klitschko but I still watch his boring fights and he never plays the "bad guy".

People watch Floyd to see him get beaten or KO'd, it never happens, they keep watching hoping the next guy will do what their last guy or hero was unable to do.

So Floyd doesn't have to be the bad guy to sell fights because people watch Floyd because they want to see him lose? There's a contradiction there somewhere...

Anyway, I've hardly heard any clamoring in the streets for Pac's head. Aside from NIKE, no one seems to care. If you think boxing massive homosexual fanbase is itching to watch a second Floyd/Manny snooze-fest then you're kidding yourself.
