Re: Official Frampton - Quigg RBR/Discussion Thread
After 8 rounds i had it 6-2 for Frampton. Even the rounds where Quigg perked up Frampton matched or at least kept them close. Frampton by 4 rounds for me.
i thought there was a decent sized gap in the level of their skills. I thought the commentary was mildly bad and in favour of Quigg. Every highlight they seemed to show involved Quiqqs shots to the point where they repeated the same shot 2 or 3 times then showed Frampton landing a single jab
i enjoyed the fight even the cagey start, although i did feel that it was going to catch fire much quicker. Honestly thought Quigg was going to put it on him early.

The more posts of yours i read the more convinced i am that you are autistic. Making monthly lists (repetetive behaviour), constant battles and arguments on here (social interaction difficulty) and you struggle to explain your posts when directly asked which shows that communicating is something you find challenging too.Horse wrote:Why does anyone care?tobyh5 wrote:You talk the big bollx, but who are you?
Do you read Hello magazine and love to check out the latest celebrity gossip?
Do you desperately want to know all of the 'juicy' details of all of the other BoxRecers lives?
I think people should back off from having a go back at you and they would if they understood your condition a bit better.

Stop trying to be clever buddy, because you cannot pull it off at all.Kingfield wrote:The more posts of yours i read the more convinced i am that you are autistic. I thought you were an idiot from the first time I interacted with you (and so did everyone else).

You do realise you've just further proven my point by posting that, don't you?Horse wrote:Stop trying to be clever buddy, because you cannot pull it off at all.Kingfield wrote:The more posts of yours i read the more convinced i am that you are autistic. Your default position is to offend people. That is not normal behaviour and something you should seek help with.

I might be a prat, but I'm not an insecure one. I'm very comfortable with who I am.Horse wrote:He was better after he broke his jaw apparently, so it's not a very good excuse for him being rubbish.keithmoonhangover wrote:Have you ever boxed with a broken jaw Horse? Thought not. Keyboard warriors don't break their jaw.
You're a true warrior I suppose? You come across as an insecure prat.
I have done a fair bit of sparring and had the odd gym war. I know what it's like to be hit hard, have my nose broken, damaged my knuckles etc, so yes, I would say I'm more qualified to talk about it than someone who has never put on a pair of glove.
You say that Quigg put in a none performance, but scored the fight a draw. Were you watching the same fight as everyone else? A draw? A DRAW!?!?!
You criticize Quigg for fighting better with a broken jaw!?!?! WTF? He gritted his teeth, manned up and did his best. He didn't perform in the first 7 rounds because of Frampton's feinting, moving, defence and punching. As Frampton slowed, Quigg was able to land more. Frampton fought pretty much the right fight. He was in there to win and that's what he did.
Another crazy thing you wrote was.... "Frampton came out of that looking worse than Quigg to me." Absolute madness.
Fighter A: Dictated the fight, won clearly, broke his opponents jaw.
Fighter B: Came out looking better.
Only on planet Horse.

I said it wasn't a good excuse for his terrible performance in the early rounds, before he broke his jaw.

Frampton looked weaker and relied on nicking the close rounds when Quigg was being too negative.

2 & 3. Quigg's performance was a direct result of what his opponent was doing. Who is weaker and stronger has nothing to do with who wins a boxing match. Frampton didn't rely on Quigg for anything. He dictated the pace. His movement was excellent, getting in and out of range and landing enough punches to win rounds. Frampton found a way to win. That's what winning boxing contests is about. Finding a way to win.

I did not think there could be anything duller than a Gavin McDonnell fight, turned out I was wrong and found something even more boring - him being interviews.

When Carl Froch tallied his card at the end of the fight, he scored it a draw, according to his write-up on Sky Sports website earlier.

Did anyone on the Sky team have Frampton winning?

Re: Official Frampton - Quigg RBR/Discussion Thread
Well well well what a night crazy atmosphere i just wish i stayed a bit more sober because i ended up blootered
Frampton/Quigg fight was awful ,i watched again and it didnt get any better,so many rounds where nothing happened and looked like a sparring session,i had Carl winning 117-113,credit to Scott for fighting with a broken jaw for 8 or so rounds
I was impressed with Lowe,he's a good young fighter who'll get better as he progresses,i thought McCullough's corner were a bit sharp with the towel at 1st but having seen the replay it was maybe the right call
Burton/Shinkwin was fight of the night for me,Miles had his moments but just couldnt handle Hosea's power,i thought the ref was a tad prememture though,i doubt Shinkwin wouldve took a knee but he should have if giving the chance

Well I can't comment until I have seen the fight, but 99% of people seem to think Frampton breezed it.Horse wrote:Fire them all.Nightmare Roy wrote:I'm interested in this question as well, BBC radio had it a shut out for Frampton.
