I agree, but he's come across quite snide to me with the things he was saying caught in microphone. I think you've summed it up perfectly though, he's too invested. Personally I think he should take a step out of the build up stuff, but he won't.

That story shame tells about how carl wants to kick Barry out of the dressing room before fights as he wants to relax and Barry is way too keyed up and hyper and tense, that says it all for me.
He's at that embarrassing dad stage, but worse, he's actually quite toxic for Frampton when you think about it.
There are female tennis players spending years in therapy over the kind of shite Barry is pulling with Frampton IMO.
