Conor getting subbed isn't out of the question but I do think it's unlikely. Nate's far more dangerous of his back than he is on top and can you really see Conor trying to take him down? Nate could pull guard but that doesn't seem like a Diaz thing to do because unless you're slick at flying subs, it often points to desperation.
Nope, Nate subbed him. It was very likely and I called it. Please go through the posts. Nate is never desperate on the ground. Very measured and he subbed him.

He went up 25 pounds in weight. That would be like Floyd jumping up to fight Kovalev. Do you realize that or are you just too stupid? This was an easy call for me. Sorry you made an ass out of yourself at that bar. I wish it was on tape so we could see what a true fool you are acting crazy over nothing.
Everyone realized that, Farcenix. Mr. HypeJob took the fight at 170 because he was blinded by his own hype and he was in mad love with his left hand. This fight was over by the time that McGregor went for that weak assed takedown. He was simply avoiding further serious damage standing. He almost tapped out before the choke was even sunk.

Now press that little button behind your ear and let that air out of your head slowly.

Well that's just effing stupid then. Obviously Mcgregor would win in an MMA fight, just as easily as Floyd would win in a boxing match.
Exactly and that is why the argument is so dumb. Floyd started the stupid argument and McGregor responded. Floyd then played the race card of course and the thing got way out of hand. But McGregor said he would fight Floyd but not in a boxing match.

Dude I would knock you out in a boxing match in the first round. First round dude. No contest. Now go and wet yourself at a bar in front of some women and make a fool out of yourself.

He landed some decent shots in the first round but Diaz shook them off and dug deep. Diaz landed some decent shots second round and McGregor seemed to fold. Now he's been beaten, there's a chance he loses confidence, self doubt creeps in etc

He can fight no doubt but he's a tad overhyped to say the least. I'm assuming his background is kick boxing?

I'm glad I took the tip on here of Diaz by sub :OhYes:
He was a decent amateur boxer but then got into MMA and particularly studied karate/taekwondo in regards to his striking.
Wasn't his claim of being a pretty good amatuer boxer rubbished? No records of his claims to success etc? In am probably wrong but I'm sure I see it mentioned here on Boxrec somewhere.

Your right about the boxing. Did you get the 9-1? Well done, I didn't have the confidence to lay down money on Diaz.

He went up 25 pounds for this fight. He is still a good MMA fighter. You do not know anything about the sport do you??

So fornicate. I've seen Floyd spar guys that are super middles and probably soarred 180+ and they couldnt land a single shot. He and Pacquaio have overcome 20lb in-ring weight advantages before against elite fighters. The GOAT lists in boxing are filled with fighters like Armstrong and Robinson who regularly won titles in the face of huge weight disadvantages.

McGregor made a name for himself by talking about Floyd every time he got in front of a microphone yet fought a fat slob who took the fight at 7 days notice and was incapable of slipping a punch after the first time he got tagged.

Tbh i was just starting to like McGregor. Maybe he should have been a boxer, i think a good defensive coach like Adam Booth could have made something from him because he has natural talent for throwing punches. The only way is down for him in mma, his wrestling doesn't seem up to much, he can't hang with bigger men, and nobody successfully goes down in weight. Ever.

Lots of MMA fans knew that Diaz could win, most likely by submission. McGregor got clipped thanks to his belief that he could take anything that Diaz was throwing and his belief (at the time) that no man could stand up to his left hand. He admitted as much post fight.

What's your excuse for not taking the "east money," airhead? Btw, Diaz had no problem coming down to 155. You know, the weight class that McGregor was planning on fighting at? They weighed in very close to the same weight. Are you making excuses for The HypeJob now, the way you make excuses for not following through with your challenge to Saad?

Too much is being made of the weight issue.

First off, Nate is a LW, not a WW. They just both agreed to fight at WW.

Secondly, not only is Nate a 155 lb fighter, he only had a 3 day fight camp and would be a far bigger threat to McGregor had the fight been at 155 with Nate having a full camp.

Thirdly, McGregor is a LW... no matter how many times he fights at 145, he belongs at 155.

And lastly, McGregor stated countless times that weight classes do not matter. Yet, now he is saying weight was an issue.

Hopefully this loss brings him into reality a bit and maybe he'll start showing other champions some respect. Dude was touting himself over the likes of DJ and Bones. He should feel silly after getting stopped by a gatekeeper type fighter who had only days to prepare.

Nate's last fight was against Michael Johnson at 155. Other than against Conor, his only other fight at 170 was against Rory McDonald, 5 years ago. And he lost. He has been at 155 pretty much his entire career. You are the one who is ill informed.

I want anyone, anyone to go to ufc.com and look up Nate Diaz. You can look all fighters up by weight and Diaz is listed as a WW.
