I actually think he has pretty decent boxing ability (not that i think he beats Kovalev or stevenson or those guys) but he's got some ability. It's a shame he doesnt test himself though.ElJefe wrote:Is Braehmer the most irrelevant 'world champion' in boxing today? I genuinely don't know anyone who rates or likes him.

He's 'dangerous for Kovalev' apparently, can't see it myself

I never said he was a slick boxer but he has good fundamental ability and chooses to neglect it. All this hands down head first stuff is just frustrating. It makes me wonder what he works on in the gym? He isn't the most gifted in any respect and that isn't the point I was trying to make.lefty wrote:Yeah. I'm baffled how some people think he doesnt box to his potential?! When has he ever been a slick boxer?! Lol.TheLeprechaun wrote:lefty wrote: See i dont understand that myself. I've never seen Cleverly as a slick boxer. He's always been a guy that likes to mix it up.
Agreed. Same old stuff every fight. He got by on his strength and workrate, punch resistance and accumulation of punches. His strategy was usually always wear the opponent down under a high guard. His "boxing" in the second Bellew fight was dismal.
