thats why your so stupid kooli, its a MANDATORY DEFENCE, canelo himself has repeatedly said he will not give GGG any advantages so why should GGG give canelo any, GGG said he would come down to 154 to fight floyd in a VOLUNTARY, very different, floyd owned a belt at that weight if you didnt realize, canelo owns a belt at 160, not 155 as you seem to think, are you keeping up and understanding, payment for fighting floyd, the #1 boxer P4P for many years would far exceed what he would get for fighting canelo, so as i see it panning out is that canelo either sucks it up and fights GGG or vacates or gets stripped of the belt and disrespects mexicos tradition of being fearless warriors, i realize you dont know much about boxing but try really hard to grasp that fact, hope that wasnt too much information for your pea brain to digest

Like it's about some bullshyt mandatory defense which should have happened
a year and a half ago if ANYONE INCLUDING LIL g ACTUALLY GAVE A SHYT
and not about the caish as it obviously is.

This is about paydays, not some nearly worthless belt. And the only reason lil g would
spout that nonsense about going down to 154 is because of the golden parachute that
a Floyd fight would mean.

Well, Canelo is the biggest name in the sport besides Pac and a retired Money.
There is NO OTHER PAYDAY close to that one on the horizon.

So your argument about lil g going down for Floyd actually strengthens MY argument.

You want to go down to 154 for a payday, but you can't go to 155 for the next largest payday out there,
155 against the guy that got beat soundly by the guy you swear you would do a pound less for?

Do you have any idea how wack that sounds?

Coming from a guy allegedly willing to "fight anyone" in 3 or 4 weightclasses (at least that was the BS
back in the day that his fanboys so conveniently want to forget nowadays)

No, if Canelo is a punk for insisting on 155, lil g is a bigger one for not calling him on it in lieu
of all the bullshyt he has been pooping out his piehole all these years.

It's time he live up to his own legend. And, trust me, if he does not only will I stop with the lil g
I will be the first guy in this forum shaking pompoms

But until then? GTFOH!!!!!

Besides, Floyd is a welter, so they would be meeting in the middle, at 154. Canelo is heavier than GGG in the ring, so the comparison with Floyd is ridiculous.

Actually it isn't.

Because lil g had no problem saying he'd go down in weight a year ago.

Now that he is mandatory he thinks the equation has changed.

He is about to find out it hasn't.

The WBC allowing Canelo a voluntary defense and not stripping him should be a hint and a half.

Let me predict what is going to happen if lil g doesn't agree to 155 or some compromise (156, 157)
isn't made.

They won't strip Canelo. They will elevate him to "Super Champion" or some other similarly phrased nonsense
and give Golovkin the belt Saul now has.

All that posturing and Golovkin will be, for all intents and purposes, EXACTLY WHERE HE IS NOW!

Don't say no one warned you when it happens.

He is also clearly happy with WBC crookedness in this case. Why not just write one line "I hate Golovkin" instead of writing so much ?

He will have fought faster fighters. GGG isnt amazingly quick just frighteningly precise
Ring IQ - GGG has one of best "Ring IQ" in the business. 345-5 as an amateur for starters
Power - C'mon, he's rated hardest middleweight puncher of all time (highest KO percentage of all time). Even without that stat you can see hes one of hardest hitters p4p in the sport.
Chin - one of p4p best chins in the sport, never been down am or pro so again unsurprising
Experience - how many active fighters, across all weights have more experience? Epic amateur career, and 34 pro fights, half of those world title fights and has fought on every continent.
Stamina - No idea what his stamina is like, pretty sure someone like Lemieux was fitter?
Lol so out of 34 opponents you can name 2, Murray and lemiuex, who had one or two advantages over ggg at best..?
LOL? You said "Name one who has an advantage in any of ..."

Ive named two who fought him in his last 4 fights!

Agree on managment though, couldve got him better fights. Also, why in 9 years hasnt he gone to 168 or 154 where there are numerous eliete opponents.
Yes, I repeat, "lol".

You can name 2 fighters out of 34 of ggg's opponents who had one or two advantages over him...these idiots were comparing ggg's resume to Floyd's. Floyd has fought more than a dozen opponents who had multiple advantages over him. This entire discussion has been one big bait and these idiots keep digging their grave wider and wider every time they respond. I have already proven my point.

As for his management not giving him fights against elite boxers just outside his weight class--exactly. His fans make every excuse in the book for not adding all the young elite scalps at 154 to his name for some stupid reason. I have never in my life seen fans who DON'T want their fighter to fight the best. His management is terrible. Every big puncher in history at some point needs to validate their boogeyman status by stepping up in competition against guys that will hit them back. You think boxing historian's would take Foreman's power seriously if he lost to frazier and faded into obscurity beating up bums for the rest of his career? He'd be another lamar clark!

Because I don't hate him.

Never miss a second of his fights if i can help it.

He IS exciting to watch.

But, being allergic to bullshyt, I cant swallow the hype some do.

He is still very unproven on an elite level in the ring.

And, he IS NOT a draw despite his popularity among hardcore boxing fans.

What he IS NOT is avoided. Plenty of fights out there, especially at weights he
has already indicated he can fight at, either by word or by intent.

Don't do your homework much do you, GGG is already the interim WBC champ and raising canelo higher even by renaming a title won't change the he is still the mandatory, you live in a fantasy world, canelo has to man up, otherwise he will be known as the Mexican chicken, GGG said he was unifying the titles and he has kept to that, legacy built fighting floyd compared to canelo would be worlds apart seeing canelo is trying to make a mockery of the MW division, and yes the equation has changed

Homework, huh?

LOL!!!

And since you are trying to mention lame shyt like "mandatory" (as if it actually means anything)
how does lil g hiding behind that status given to him by the WBC equate to "manning up"?

I mean, if Gennady was really trying to "man up", he'd had no problem weighing one pound more
than the weight he is saying he could do for Mayweather, 1 pound more for a guy Floyd beat rather easily.
He'd be "manning up" if he actually kept his word (as per his promoter) and went down in weight for
a Canelo fight:

Loeffler said that Golovkin would have no problem fighting at a catchweight against Alvarez, who fought Lara in a 155-pound bout.

“We’ve always said that if there is a compelling fight, Gennady would move up or down, we’ve talked about moving up to 168 for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. because that would be a pay-per-view fight and if it’s Canelo, then I’m sure that we could work out a catchweight if he wanted to work out a catchweight and if it’s in his best interest. So that would certainly be a pay-per-view fight,” said Loeffler.

There wouldn’t be any issues for us to come down to fight Canelo. There would still be a title on the line for Gennady because he would be fighting under 160, so he would be able to defend the titles at 156 or whatever you have the weight be. But Gennady would be willing to come down in weight to fight Canelo. I wouldn’t say it would be at 154 but certainly, given that Canelo fought his last fight at 155, then you could say that Gennady would certainly be willing to come down in weight to make the Canelo fight.”

One of us has a reasoned documented take, and one of us doesn't.

You have a response explaining why lil g was willing to come down in weight 16 months ago
and now he is saying the complete opposite, then let's have it.

You have a reason why a guy who said he would come down is now hiding behind a
mandatory status to try to force the A-side to do something, let's have it.

If you can explain why the above IS NOT one of the punkest things you have ever seen in boxing,
TOTAL HYPOCRITICAL COWARDLY MANIPULATIVE BULLSHYT, be my guest.

Your fanboy knobslobbing of lil g is funny as hell to me!

Here you are calling him undisputed when he isn't even the lineal middleweight champ and there
are two other beltholders (Canelo and Saunders) and least one highly regarded contender (Jacobs)
who might have something to say about his claim to being the best at 160 pounds.

Didn't stop you from calling him undisputed tho, did it?

You cretin.

Yada, Yada, Yada , he doesn't have to so why would he, GGG has earned his mandatory spot, was good enough to let canelo fight a welterweight first, now it's canelos time to man up and fight a genuine MW for the genuine MW title he holds, as the saying goes " if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen" if you can't understand the difference in worth fighting floyd compared to canelo then your beyond help, you really should change your name from kooli to tooli

There is literally no active boxer on earth who can give ggg a bigger payday than canelo. He has NO room to negotiate, canelo is the A side and ggg couldnt even pull 100k ppv buys.

If his primary concern was really about getting scalps and belts he'd shut up and agree to everything.

When GGG has all the MW belts because canelo ducked him, who is canelo going to fight, cottos at retiring age, canelos getting older and with every month that goes by it will make it near on impossible to make 154, every day that passes GGG is getting more known and more popular, canelo has maybe 3 fights from boxers being dragged up from JMW.that could be interesting, what does he do then, if he vacates, he will certainly lose a % of Mexican fans, vacating will also raise GGG stocks, so really where will canelos big money fights come from Einstein, will he jump from 155 to 168 to avoid GGG, how will it pan out for canelo, fighting khan isn't a good choice, if he wins he beat a WW, if he loses his career is in the toilet having lost to a WW with a glass chin, the only way I can see this working for the long term for canelo is fight GGG at 160, if he loses then it's with dignity and he keeps his fans or even expands his fanbase because he showed courage

It is pretty obvious Canelo or at least his team doesn't want a fight with GGG at 160. If they fight it will be 2 or 3 years from now, when GGG is beginning to slide. Canelo will be 28. I prefer to forget about the fight for now. Canelo will get stripped this fall I predict. GB drug their feet on both the Lara and Trout fights, and will drag their feet even more for GGG.

Canelo has the Charlo brothers, J. Williams, Vanes M., Andrade to fight still, and more if some top welters move up. Even if Canelo moves his weight class to 157 they will fight him there.

Golovkin earns enough money. Yes, Canelo is clearly an A side and can dictate purse split, venue, ring size, judges, etc. but not a weight. Golovkin is his mandatory and clearly stated multiple times that weight is not negotiable. Canelo can stick his money into his a$$ if he doesn't want to fight at 160.

I just wish Canelo would vacate the damn belt already. It is obvious he won't fight at 160, and the WBC will give him every opportunity to keep it, but he will get stripped if he doesn't vacate....so one of the two will happen because the fight won't at 160.

I have been critical of Canelo in the past, and although it seems obvious he isn't in favor of fighting GGG at 160 just yet, I wouldn't call a guy that fought Trout, Cotto, Lara, Kirkland, Anguelo, and Floyd to name a few, a coward.

So, how do you call a person who looked brave against a certain level of danger but goes into hiding when encountering a higher level of danger ? A realist ? Then drop the f4cking belt and don't call yourself a MW champion.

I agree that he should give the belt up. Him vs Khan for the middleweight championship of the world as much of a joke as Pacquiao vs Margarito at 150 for the 154 belt a few years back,if not more so. Both are/were disrespectful to boxing. To Canelo, belts matter when it is convenient. His ego is too big to just let it go right now. I never considered Cotto a MW champ, and don't consider Canelo one either...just my opinion. I just think to earn the belt, you need to fight at the full weight.

GGG has said he really doesn't care if Canelo fights him or not, as long as he gets the belt. I prefer boxers that cherish the belts they earn, but at the same time absolutely hate anyone winning it at a catch=weight.
