yeah must be hard for him. at the end of the day Hatton is world class and generally is very popular in Britain which is why I suppose he feels the need for boxingchat to surf the internet spreading propaganda and rumours about him.

I actually quite like Boxingchat's contributions when he gives us insights that us humble boxing fans don't know. It's only the gross negativity about RH or pro-Sports Network stuff that is a bit dull.

In relation to the use of the word "effectively" in FW's quote, I don't think that is how he wrote it in the NOTW (may be wrong, don't have a copy of it) and certainly not how it was reported.

And yes, you are right, I would make a dreadful libel lawyer - they don't make enough cash, billion pound private equity deals are more my bag

Anyway have a good weekend fellas. Life is far too short to get overly argumentative on an internet forum.

Not an employee? If your been truthful that means your a director of SN (ie Frank) or a relative/friend of FW??? PBF got 6800 for his fight with Mitchell, and he's America's Golden Boy of the moment. I don't think Hatton will get near the 15K you claimed. He'll only get that much if he is on the undercard. There isn't much of a Hatton following over here, so I doubt people would run to see him fight.

I could be wrong, but I don't see how Baldomir-Hatton comes off. Baldomir could've gotten a decent payday by giving Judah a rematch, however, he stated in the postfight interview that he was interested in big fights (that is, big money fights). With Hatton AND Gatti calling him out, why would he not choose Gatti? Fight Gatti and it's a GUARANTEED HBO fight with BIG MONEY if the fight is in Atlantic City (and it would be). Or, he could fight Hatton in the US (likely in Las Vegas) in a venue that would likelyNOT sell out because Hatton is primarily known in the UK and his US exposure is due only to Showtime, a network with far fewer subscribers than HBO and one that has only showed the Tsyzu fight in recent years AND because guys well-known in the US often have time selling out Vegas unless they are in the heavyweight division. In addition, Baldomir makes more money with less risk by fighting Gatti. Unless Baldomir is willing to head over to Manchester (because that's where more money would come in to play), I don't see how he'd be willing to honestly consider the fight.
