Barry I can't believe you think Tyson was getting the better of Holyfield. Have you seen the fight? You are the most bias opinionated person I have ever come across. 'Tyson was getting on top'...are you seriously on this planet?

You watch the fight again. I gave round 1 and the first half of round 3 to Tyson. Dont get thrown away by the crowd cheers cose most of the first round Holy didn't connect at all. All the BIG stuff and combos all missed Tyson's head even if people though that Tyson was in trouble. NOW

Holyfield headbutted threee times.. in the first round he allready bloodyd Tyson's eye. Isn't that an Injury, didn't that deserve something like DQ. And that action continued troughout second and third round. Holy did it in the first fight and now he get's away again. You can poke someone eye out in trying to headbutt with bad intentions.
AND he fouled with grazy holding while Tyson had to put lot of effort to get rid of that 200 hundred pound meat that kept holding like Ruiz.

Holy was a bitch in both fights .. don't you damn right defend him.

People defending Tyson..no they're just stating facts that you seem to overlook simply because it is against Tyson, plus it doesn't fit into your overly bias view! Like I said earlier...nothing you can say about Tyson will ever be taken serious since you try to hold Tyson accountable for things that you make excuses for on other fighters and all you are doing now is putting together a few incoherent rants that make little sense and of which add and prove absolutely nothing to the debate, it just sounds like you are being a sore loser with the childishly mocking threads! Rubbish, Tyson was in his 20s still when he lost to the OLDER Holyfield... Liston was at least 40+ when he lost to Martin (and he still managed to end Martins career even in defeat!) and Foreman was in his mid 40s when he lost to Morrison... thats really one of the most biased statements even you have made Brock... why is it you Tyson fans seem unable to accept reality???...

Well ofcourse everything you agree with is a fact while opinions that differ from yours are biased delusions right!. What facts are your friends stating?... that Holyfield is a bitch?? is that a fact?.

tyson was far gone when he fought holyfield, about 7 years past his prime plus he had missed 3 years due to prison and fighters that miss 3 years and comeback are almost always never the same again! if u watch tyson in the holyfield fight, u will realize hes a completley different fighter than the one that was with rooney. the tyson that fought holyfield is a headhunter, isnt unpredictable with his defense anymore, doesnt mix up his once deadly combinations, doesnt have his body attack anymore, etc.



tyson was very gone when he fought holyfield. maybe not as much, but close to as much as foreman was when he made his comeback. tyson and foreman were both well past there prime but had enough left to still be one of the best in the world. though foreman was probably more gone but u get the point!

Ofcourse it is about age, Tyson was in very good physical shape when he fought Holyfield, ...what about Holyfield, he;d been koed by Bowe, BEATEN by Moorer, if you look at the Tyson of the late 80s and the one of the mid 90s his main problem was that he'd lost some of his technique and speed, but so had Holyfield... but to say Tyson was totally shot physically in the first fight is just not true and unfair to Evander...
In the second fight Tyson was shot mentally... and thsi says it all about him as a fighter... he couldn't come back from defeat.... is that greatness...
Ali beat Foreman when he was older and far more past his physical prime than Tyson was against Holyfield... he did it with brains and guts!... which is how Holyfield beat Tyson....

That's because it doesn't compare...they both were DQ'd for breaking the rules and they both were DQ'd and lost because of it, that's all there is to it...neither bout is less offensive than the other, they both lost and that's is the only thing comparable and which is the only thing that I have been saying...you're the one trying to make it into a comparision, of which I have ignorned because it's silly...as I said at the very beginning...Leonard was a lightweight, Tyson a heavyweight!

Even if Holyfield purposely butted Tyson, that was no excuse for what Tyson did. Holyfield did rough Tyson up in both their fights and this was part of his plan to ruffle Tyson up mentally... to bully the bully. If Tyson had been made of stronger stuff he would have just butted back, or hit low back etc... but to bite like he did was a grotesque surrender....

O'kay, you want another example fine...something newer...Tomas Molinares knocking Marlon Starling out cold after the bell!

Yeah Molinares pulled back to throw the punch when the bell rang and still threw it koing Starling... how does this compare with Tyson biting Holyfield?... it was accidental and deemed I think a real knockout because Molinares pulled back to throw the punch before the bell rang.
Another example is when I think a fighter named tony anothony?? (not clear on the name) floored Mike Waever after the bell of their 1st round I think... the punch was thrown fully after the bell and was clearly a foul.
Another example which is probably closest to Tyson biting Holyfield is when James Butler punched his opponent after the end of their bout (which he'd lost) koing him and breaking his jaw... this is the worst thing I've seen in the ring other than the Tyson spectacle.
Its worth noting that Butler served time in jail for what he did and Tyson could have been looking at a jail sentence for his bites but Holyfield didn't want to take things any further.
Another thing to remember is that Tyson went out in that round without his mouthpeice in and so had decided on what he was going to do befor the start of the round.... its not possible to bite your opponent with your mouthpeice in....
