BoxBuzz wrote:Caractus....there was no extended delay in that fight. (Except in some admittedly fun to read fictional accounts.)
It just did not manifest in reality. An Dem's da fax.
Now for cryin' out loud, just shut up about it, and have yourself a nice slice of pie.

He's a troll mate, don't rise to it. We all know the truth.klompton wrote:Man you are effing insane. It didnt happen, get over it. I now have two forms of proof, the unedited kinescope and the unedited radio broadcast, i couldnt care less if some anonymous crank on the internet doesnt believe me. Perfectly put.Tuan_Jim wrote:Caractacus Brutu must cling to this point of contention because it's the only one he can still get people to respond to. He's breathes people's annoyance.
You dont either, if you do then prove it and put in all on youtube.klompton wrote:Man you are effing insane. It didnt happen, get over it. (BTW the kinescope you refer to was obviously edited in post-production and you know it!,
because it has an instant replay of the knockdown which
did not exist at that point in time)
and we are all waiting here for the original BBC Radio broadcast of it
(and dont try and use the audio from the edited and abridge kinescope over some photographs, hoping to pass it off
as the "original"BBC Radio broadcast either).
still waiting to see the newspaper articles.Caractacus wrote:Hey Evereb,
when are you going to do some some actual research and dig up the newspaper articles
that were written up by the English press who where actually sitting ringside at that fight
and that were published in the various newspapers the very next morning after the actual fight?
and not 50 years later by people who claim to know the events but were actually still doing a dump in their diapers in June of 1963.
(such as Steve Bunce)
You can start with
THE NEWS OF THE WORLD
and
THE SUN.
Im sure both probably covered the event.

well then sir,let me kindly address it for you.macaca wrote:Who gives a eff, Henry should have been up waiting and in the centre of the ring not sat on his stool also. Then no one mentions this.
Yeah I heard it... The announcer clearly says that Clay had a torn glove.. That jives with Angelo Dundee's story.. According to regulations the boxers are required to have intact gloves, with no torn, chaffed, or irregular seams or surfaces ... and they didn't stop the fight to change the gloves, which should have been done, because torn gloves can cut the crap out of your face.. But I believe the reason they didn't require the gloves to be changed was because it was obvious Clay was in a bad way after he got up from the knockdown.. They thought Cooper might finish Clay if they didn't give him several minutes to recover changing gloves.. Clay recovered well in the minute's rest and that was that.Brutu wrote:June 18 1963,Wembley Stadium London England.
