How many belts are in the scene???

Post by bigman1968 »

WBO, WBC, WBA, IBF are obvious.

But I presume they are not alone in the ABC soup?

Countless, though IBO has a little weight, I don't know of any others that are at all legit. Plus there are all the magazine belts, but I think the only one of those that people care about is The Ring.

I pretty much ignore any other than the big 4. I even consider the Ring Magazine title a worthless trinket and not a proper world title.

The Ring Belt is the only one administered properly. IMO, the best.

But The Ring is the hardest to get.

Yep and their top 10 lists are pretty solid.

It is a shame the big 4 are considered the best and not the IBO. The IBO have the best policies and morals of them all, just don't have the clout to enforce mandatories and eliminators.

I think the more the merrier, it dilutes the value of world title. It means more unifications and top fights.

roman gonzalez is their king and it looks
to me like he fought relatively easy opposition.
