Canelo September 17th

Post by Taansend »

I'm pretty certain that Canelos next bout will be on the above date. Since Oscar De la Hoya realised that the weekends closest to May 5th (a "holiday" that most Americans think is Mexican Independence Day) & September 16th (actual Mexican Independence Day) do the most PPVs in the US we've seen him or Mayweather & now Canelo always fight on the weekend nearest those days.

So, who do you think is the most likely opponent for Alvarez on that date?

Won't be GGG as I've just seen on SKY that he has dropped his WBC belt   Says he still wants the fight and although I want to believe him I think he is ducking GGG.

I dont think he is ducking him big fights take time and the wbc should be ashamed trying to set up the best fighters in the sport together. The absolute cheek of them!

I'm convinced the fight will happen, but on the right terms.

It'll probably be a former world champion who is a little bit lighter, at a catchweight. Maybe this chap - http://boxrec.com/boxer/140457
