I always thought the 'Golden Boy' is one of the worst of all time. It seems extremely egotistical as well as somewhat patronising, and gives no hint to toughness or boxing skill.

It sounds like a gay pornstar's nickname (who specialises in golden showers.)

Mind you, having seen Oscar in suspenders and women's underwear, and in the bath, may be very appropriate!
