I have to say that was my first thoughts too. He's a better boxer and the best chin is the chin that doesn't get hit, as the old cliche goes. Eubank has the size but is going to get clobbered all night. I can see Kell being more elusive.
Yeah but not getting hit off your Dans and Biziers compared to not getting hit off arguably the best fighter on the planet is another level.

You lot are missing the big picture.

This means that the main event will be Eubank v Vargas :bag:

Khan knew he was on a tightrope. Even if he was boxing beautifully and bagging rounds he knew what could happen.
I’ve a gut feeling that Brook will expect to win this fight. He seems to have a steeliness to him....or is it just me?

One thing I am curious about though is are the same people that said Khan was only fighting Canelo for the money and that he was in a no lose situation going to say the same about Brook?

It certainly does appear about as suicidal as a fight can get.

True enough. I'm a big fan of both myself but if I was parting with the cash to go to the fight it would be to see GGG. It'll depend how they promote the fight I suppose. We Brits tend to love an underdog so some of the shìt munchers that are just there for the feck of it will go for Brook.

I'd love to go to this but it'll be way out of my price range for September!

Living a minute away from Brammal lane gutted this isn't local, but assuming O2 as will be some big ticket prices to cover GGG costs.
Listening to some boxing podcasts today, can't remember if it was Bunce or Nuthouse, but in one they were saying he was looking pretty big and that he would struggle to make WW again. I'm pretty sure it was Nuthouse, actually.

They were completely mugging him off for being fat and only in it for the money.

Definitely Nuthouse.
This fight definitely feels like taking the most money possible rather than for his legacy, so although I'm not going to say it isn't a brave move, I think he realises he's not a big name and there's a only a few fights (Khan or GGG) where he can earn the top money.

Either way I'm not complaining, we all get what we want, and him be in a big fight.

He did look big commentating on TV the other week, which was why I was concerned about the short training camp

GGG would murder Canelo is just about everybody's opinion and I would imagine this is for significantly less money.

This is not a no lose situation.

Golovkin would murder Canelo but Canelo was heavily favoured to Murder Khan- that's my point lol. Also I imagine Brook is making quite a bit for this. Atleast £3 million.

That was sort of my point as well. If we knew Khan was looking at a hiding, then we all have to concede Brook is FUCKED.

GGG could do worse than base himself over here and run through all our available boxers, PPV for each one and he would be quids in

Why? Who else is knocking the door down to fight him? It's a massive fight against another undefeated world champion albeit from a lower weight. Brook is arguably GGGs best opponent to date and vice versa!

Someone pointed out on Reddit that two of the most highly anticipated fights coming into 2016 were Khan v Brook and Golovkin v Canelo, but somehow we've ended up with Khan v Canelo and Golovkin v Brook

It makes sense in that Brook couldn't get Khan and Golovkin couldn't get Alvarez. Alvarez and Khan having fought, not long ago.

But it really does seem to have come out of left field.

Do Brook and his team really believe they have a chance? Are they confident? Or was the deal made because no other deal could be made?
