Thought they might mention the Hatton opponent - guess that's still to come.

Harris is the favourite and I reckon (but dont know) that it will be Harris on HBO in May.
I reckon Harris is determined to prove the Maussa loss was an abberation and he could upset Hatton

For me Greenburg is a very poor heavy...yes he has relatively quick hands but he lacks pop.

Greenberg has excellent handspeed, footwork and reflexes. He has a good hard jab.Hardhitters11 wrote:Why mate?KO Atrist wrote:I reckon he could give Sam Peter fits.Hardhitters11 wrote:Roman Greenburg would only have a chance against Larry Donald or maybe Oliver McCall the rest would murder him...and its by far guaranteed these two would beat him!

He's not a KO artist but he hits hard enough to gain respect.
Peter, on the other hand is ox strong, and a murderous puncher..... if he can hit you.
If he cant he is as slow as ketchup, clumsy as hell, and a poor, yes poor finisher. He KO's with one shot.
Look at the guys who have gone the distance with Peter, some are good boxers others not so good.
Peter could KO Greenberg with one shot, but I doubt he would get near him.
Greenberg would IMO would out point him winning every round
Harris never wanted to fight Hatton. He kept turning down money to fight him, from what I heard. Vivian embodied the fake title holder. He came by a vacant, or a regular championship while Tszyu was injured. Then he got lucky vs Urkal in Germany. Then he trounced the guy. Then turned down more big fights. Then believed the BS hype that he was the next Mike McCallum. Then got totally embarrassed by a man that Cotto dissected (Maussa) when MC looked half asleep.

Harris is a twat quite frankly. He's screwed his own career up by constantly wrangling with his promoters about money, despite the fact that he was a totaly non-entity as far as the paying public were concerned. Main events got sick of him and were glad to release him from his contract from what I heard. Manny advised him not to take the Hatton fight as he felt it was a bad fight for him.viciousmaussa wrote:Harris never wanted to fight Hatton. Harris would have made less than 100k from the 750k he was getting beause of his promotional/management contract. He also wanted more than Hatton given he was the belt holder.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Harris is a twat quite frankly. I don't think Harris was scared of fighting Hatton he just knew it was a hard fight and wanted to at last get a good payday. I think he was hoping Hatton would take the mandatory 25% position. Neither fighter wanted the fight on small change - Ricky still could have forced the match but removed himself from the WBA rankings.
Hes beat Ukral twice, Hurtado - 2 of tyszus better wins and faster than tyuzu and beat Mbaiye
Harris-Hatton could be fight of the year candidate imo.
BTW overdosing on the ECA stack would give similar symptons to those Wlad/Harris had in their recent losses.

ECA stack? What the cuntok is that?
I am talking about Harris' career PRIOR to the Hatton fight. He continually pissed his promotional company about, which is why he was relatively inactive, every time they lined up a fight, he said he wanted more money.
The Hatton fight didn't happen on Manny's advice, Steward (not the most reliable of sources admittedly), said so himself in a number of interviews.

ECA - ephedrine caffiene asperin - diet pills, take a bit and it speeds u up a bit, take too much and ur heart will be speeding at 1000 notches and you'll feel like collapsing after a round. I get the stuff in powders and I overdosed my heart was popping out my chest all night - no sleep.
Who did Harris turn down pre-Hatton negotiations?I remember PBF and Cotto pulled out of fights but I think that was risk reward - PBF pretended to not know who Harris was

Weirdly, Steward says he signed Harris without even realising he was a WBA champion. Understandable by most standards I guess, seeing as he was a non-super champion or whatever the hell they call it.
Think Harris is now back with former world class lightwelter Lennox Blackmore as trainer. Could be a good thing..
Papers today are saying Harris looks favorite to get the Connecticut job - And hopefully it's not another one of those lightweights that Rick loves to snack on.
