It's on YouTube mate. He was just arsing about during training. Manny Steward put him in sparring and he was getting beat up. Manny was looking very concerned in that way he had. Naz was more concerned about spouting religious pish about his unbeaten destiny. He even messed about trying to get goat skin gloves and going on about shepherds.
I'd always thought he was a pure prick anyway but after watching that I bet on MAB and absolutely loved the fight. Was great to see the tables turned on such a vicious bully

Yeah, you could have the gloves mounted on the wheelchair, and they could have someone else operating the gloves whilst they moved themselves round the ring.Stuarty30 wrote:A bit like robot warsjamesmcdonnell wrote:They should have wheelchair boxing, I'd watch that all day long.Fitzy901 wrote:

Actually sod the gloves, they should have angle grinders, rocket launchers and flame throwers.

There's a new Japanese version which is way more high tech, as they are all fully automated.

I used to love that fat slag growing up. Every time I see his fat chops on the TV it cuts me up! We should start a campaign to get him to release one of the excersise DVDs that all they wanker reality types do for Xmas! He'd make a killing if he managed to shift the weight! Can't be healthy. He's got more crack than Paisley ffs!
I thought the same. How can a ex-pro fighter that dosen't have to work let himself go like that? Like you said, it isn't from the booze which I could understand, if that was his culture. Nothing wrong with liking your food, but it's odd that he hasn't done any training for years cause he's been like that well over a decade.

Hamed has looked like a spacehopper for years!
I remember him threatening to come back about 8 years ago or so, but he ended up getting locked up & obviously the comeback plans were halted.
It would be interesting to know at what weight he was planning to return at, because FW looks an awful long way away for Hamed & has done for a long time!![[icon_e_surprised.gif] :oo](./images/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif)

Re: Fat Naz
Naz shouldn't have been in the ring against Medina (a former world champ) as he was under the weather but still smashed Medina up. It was his 4th world title fight (he won his first eleven by knockout)! Naz was obviously timing them better!bbjc wrote:No real argument from me cause no matter how you look at it naz was a great fighter. In his defence i actually think steward was at some fault for the barrerra fight. Didnt understand the ingle system...was trying to teach naz his way of doing things...which we all know was brilliant. But by that point the ingle system was too ingrained in naseem. We ll never know if naz could have beat him at his very best. I dont see it personally. When you look at the evidence. People have him prime for robinson. But it was only two fights later he struggled with medina. Medina didnt have a problem hitting him all nite. Because he was probably the first decent fighter naz faced. As he fought kelley etc they were all hitting him regularly. It wasnt the lack of training or falling in love with his power...it was just that the good fighters could time him.

I know someone who used to bits of driving for him, said he was always on the gear and pissed, yet spouts off about being devout etc, hypocritical little mug!

A lot of Asians and middle eastern people have a sweet tooth, I guess it makes up for the lack of booze. I'm not sure if that's true of Yemeni's, but if you box back loads of sweet food, it's pretty easy to end up like a blimp.Eddy wrote:Stuarty30 wrote:What the hells going on with Naz? Re: Fat Naz
Tbf he did have a cold going into it with medina. But naz was hit by pretty much every good man he fought. Kelley was timing him no problem. Naz couldnt be touched in the beginning. People tend to think it was down to him not taking it seriously as he went up in competition. But reckon it was more down to the competition just being better. The reason he fell in love with his power was because when he exchanged with them and tried to box they were able to catch him. Was then forced into going down the power route against them it wasnt through choice.
Barrerra would have caught him like that anytime for me. In naz,s defence barrerra had to change the game plan up for him which does say something about naz. Cause his power would have probably taking barrerra out in a shootout. Great fighter naz but dont think he was ever beating the very top guys. All of them could have changed up the game plan. Marquez would have probably beaten him best for me. But morales would have been the best fight imo.

Re: Fat Naz
I was a fan of Naz at the time but he was nowhere what he wants us all to believe - he is trying to kid himself as well as the public.
Typical snide bully boy, he got beat and completely fell apart mentally and has spent the last 10 years sat on the couch eating Doritos, wanking and crying to himself - he is a self pitying prick

Sorry pal, but I watched him train for many years. The reason he started getting caught was because he wasn't training like he did when he was younger. He was that good that he got away with it for years. Naz ruled supreme at a time when Barrera was getting his ar$e handed to him by Junior Jones.bbjc wrote:Tbf he did have a cold going into it with medina. Re: Fat Naz
MAB ducked Naz at the time and Naz was close to his peak. MAB improved significantly after the lessons Jones gave him. Naz would have won with ease if he had MAB at that time. When they did fight Naz was on the slide, and MAB was around his peak.
I would still have fancied MAB in a much closer fight if they had fought peak for peak.
