I was just thinking about this. I know weight creeps on but surely he must feel when he looks at himself that “this isn’t really me” how can a 10/ 11 stone man, who regularly used to shed a stone to fight, feel right being a 17/ 18 stone lummox?
I think Hamed is very good when he’s on top. When it comes to natural forces like appetite, temptation, age, good Mexicans, there are big cracks, just my opinion.
Because when he looks in the mirror , he does'nt see a 17 stone roly poly donut .. He see Prince Nasseem looking through rose colored glasses and all that ,, ..
Do it myself , I stand infront of the mirror turn on my side , take a small step forward , so i'm only showing my back and ass hiding the belly ,, and take selfies ,, Go find the missis , and say look what you married ,, i've still got it ,, get em off

i always got the impression naz fought way above what his natural fighting weight would have been. he never looked ripped or gaunt at weigh ins, and everyone he fought looked to be several inches taller than him, i believe he is only 5 ft 3 inches tall ?
from a fan perspective the end of his career definitely looked like believing the hype and not putting the graft in anymore. its easy to say barrera was able to time him , but naz at his peak would have handled that like he did with kelly imo.
for the sheer enjoyment and entertainment he provided for me and many other fans like me i am glad he appears to be happy and settled in retirement , he can be as fat as he wants to be afaiac .

I've never heard it from anyone who had a quarter of the athleticism or athletic ability as Naz had in his prime. Why not be fat? He always looks extremely happy.
Yeah why not Im sure his heart is in better health than most of us with that 20 years of elite level aerobic performance....
I guess Naz is both a comfortable northerner and also arab....in both areas weight is more readily accepted as normal than the celebrity obsessed south east and London.......
Naz enjoys the richness and variety of Yemeni cooking and why not!
I'm not sure it works that way. That 20 years of sloth and pie abuse doesn't have any negative effects if it's preceded by 20 years of training and healthy living.
I'm always surprised by boxers becoming fat slobs after they retire. Firstly they know how good it feels to be in top shape and and how do you go through a whole career of training camps when you don't enjoy keeping fit?
bECAUSE WHEN YOU STOP AT SAY 30 after your teenage years and say your 20's , you have spent years, going to the gym, when your mates are at the pub , or there playing 5 a side and having a few beers after ,, and your going home to bed because your up for work at 6 and then after work your at the gym , weekends your mates and familly are downing pints ,, kebabs and hitting the clubs followed by a curry , and your missing out , watching your weight , trying to stay fit and healthy .
Then you give it away , and who and behold ,, you've got time on your hands , the beer after work , sounds good and taste even better ,, that curry you missed out on taste better to you than it does your mates , , skipping the gym feels better than going , and the next thing your a ten ton roly poly , and you start to relize i don;t like this but it gets harder to get rid off the older you get , If your a social type of person , it becomes very easy to start trying to catch up on the things you spent years avoiding ,, Off course theres always the exception take Chris , Senior ,, he's in just has good a shape , but then again who the fornicate would want him hanging around the local , giving lectures on the physical imposibilities of being able to maintain a healthy god like body , such has himself , while you consume alchahol

That's not what im saying but with his Islamic beleifs it wont be drink and drugs or pie eating causing that. It will be rich Yemeni rice in Coconut oil and butter with walnuts, cashews and a grilled chicken with marinated vegetables stuffed up its arrse. All washed down with Jalaab and perhaps some buttery baklava.
Im sure naz is as u say overweight in a manner that puts stress on the organs. But when he talks or stands he doesn't have that fat wheezy out of gas delivery. he still seems like he could backflip at his heavy weight.
But yes u are right theres a balance and naz is waaay overweight im sure in the long run he will bring it down a bit. At 42 he's hardly an old man.
Fair enough. Maybe his is fit and fat rather than just fat, it's hard to tell just on sight but if he moves around ok and without wheezing like you say maybe it's not as dire as it looks.
I also think boxers will let themselves go because they remember making weight and know they could lose it all in a month if they needed to... but they don't need to so it never happens.

Being obese increases your risks of many life threatening conditions drastically, cancer, heart disease, diabetes to name but 3. He looks pretty chronically overweight, it's his life, he can eat what he bloody well likes of course, but he won't make old bones if he doesn't shift some weight.
Just watched a repeat of his sporting heroes programme with Gary newbon. Seems happy enough despite barely being able to see over his belly. Talked about having to lose 2 and a half stone before the Barrera fight and only ever hitting the weight at the weigh in the whole camp.
He was a couple of seats across from me at the GGG - Brook, and he just looked like a guy carrying a few pounds too much - but akin to an old rugby player who let the pounds pile on.

Lol id say more a retired darts player........especially with the way his shirt hangs out.......I don't think its anything naz couldn't solve with a good couple of middle eastern nutritionists who are also trained cooks.......Oprah winfrey used a similar system to lose the pounds.....they could try using wholegrain rice instead of white.....coconut oil instead of ghee.....almonds instead of walnuts....and the chicken could be grilled rather than cooked in a vat of fat.....I bet Naz is a full sugar coca cola drinker....that's probably where the real damage is.....the hamed household would have bottles of the stuff on the dinner table......he's probably at the battata harra for a late night snack too.....
