No way does Joshua want anything of Parker. They're going to do whatever it takes to weasel out of facing him.

You mean Eddie Hearn doesnt want anything to do with Parker touching his cash cow.

Parker is high risk fight low reward, better for Joshua to fight aging fighter like Klitchko , big name bigger money .

But Parker will only improve and when (if) he fights Ruiz jr for WBO belt next it will be more expensive to fight Parker
And Parker has sparred Ruiz before when he was younger and
won every round lol.

Sadly it appears the HW division will be spilt into 3 or even 4 champions for a long time until we get into a Mayweather vs Pacman situation for mega Heavyweight payday in another 5-8 years time

Joshua is a level above Parker. He would defeat him, early and easily.

Parker is lucky he wasn't disqualified - Dimitrenko's knee was on the ground when he delivered the knockout blow.

Dmitrenko is a joke.
That was the most disgusting piece of acting I've ever seen.
Parker destroyed him.

Very strange fight. Some people think those knockdowns weren't even legit. Anyway, a 3rd round stoppage against Dimitrenko looks great on his record. He's easily a top 10 heavyweight.

Izu also looked good but he needs to step up the oppostion now, it's been awful so far.

I'd say that's a pretty awful prediction, but since Joshua has not fought even one decent heavyweight yet these mindless early ko predictions will be regurgitated ad nauseam. He's the fakest human being in boxing, looks juiced out of his mind, and there's an army of chumps on their knees blowing this guy for beating nobodies. Hopefully AJ gets knocked out cold, sooner or later he will.

Another thing: I don't remember Parker calling out Joshua after this fight like he did after the Takam fight. This could be a hint.

That's Dimitrenko for you......he reacts like a baby when things get tough, especially to the body (see Chambers and Sosnowski). Parker was bothering him with every shot and I don't think there was anything underhanded about the fight.

It was a totally one sided fight, but Parker hit and KO'd Dimitrenko when he was down. Shouldn't he have been disqualified for that, or at least given D time to recover and deduct points from P?

He also faked low blows against Vaughn Beane

I don't think there was anything underhanded about the fight either - except the way it ended and the so called referee. You are not allowed to hit a man when he is down in boxing period. That's a very important rule. And it had nothing to do with faking low blows. He was KO'd when he was already down.

Absolute, clear foul directly in front of the ref.

Parker takes too many shots. He is decent but I don't see him as anything special. Dimitrenko landed far too many right hands and he troubled Parker with the long jab.

What the fuck was that? Surely one of the fighters lost that via disqualification, either Dimitrenko is faking it and refusing to fight or Parker stopped him with a shot when he was down. As mentioned before, the ref started waving his hands to signal no knock down, then bottled it when he realised what that would mean

Dimitrenkoas as looking for a way out and was folding as predicted, but, well, that ending was utterly embarassing. Parker clearly hit Dimitrenko whilst he was down. Either Dimitrenko gets time to recover or Parker is disqualified.
As it is the absolute homer of a ref calls a no knockdown then realises that there's a chance Parker should be disqualified so he just counts Dimitrenko out

If that took place in a British ring I'd be embarrassed.

The video is in this thread....can you point out all these rights that Dimitrenko lands? Dimitrenko's jab was also out of range most of the time and Parker got past it repeatedly and pretty much whenever he decided to throw, so not seeing how we can say he struggled with that punch (can you point out some moments where this is visible?).

I agree that he gets hit too much, but Dimitrenko gave him no issues here.

Dimitrenko tried to get Parker disqualified... Parker hit him with a light body shot while he was obviously down... Dimitrenko immediately acted like he was shot with a 30-06... It was an act the referee refused to buy -- though the same act worked for Montel Griffin and Andre Dirrell... They were better actors.

This was a horrible fight to begin with... You don't go from fighting Carlos Takam to fighting Dimitrenko, who hasn't fought anybody in the last 4 years who anyone ever heard of... I posted before the fight that this would be easier than a regular sparring session for Parker... Joshua will smash Parker out in 5 or 6 rounds.. If this fight was to get Parker used to fighting somebody big and tall, it didn't work.. If Parker fought Hughie Fury it would have been a more interesting matchup.. Fury is taller than Joshua and he wouldn't be falling and crawling all over the ring from light punches -- so it would be a good tune-up.. This fight was a disgrace.

2nd time through, watching closer, Dimitrenko did not land as many rights as I thought. He landed one big one at the end of round 1. In round two he just missed a few that I thought landed on my phone the fitst viewing. He did not land anything as big as the shot near the end of 1. In the third he landed a couple of jabs that were harder than most anything Dimitrenko landed with his right, with the exception of that late round one shot.

Dimitrenko was more successful with his left jab than with his right hand.

The shot that Parker landed when Dimitrenko was on a knee was deliberate and a very hard shot. It should have been at minimum a point deduction. But Dimitrenko was over dramatic.

This was a better fight when I looked closer at it. Unfortunate finish.

Also, on second look, Parker has more than decent talent. I would love to see him fight Wilder.

The ref robbed Parker of a controversy free victory and saved Dimitrenko from a beating. Parker shouldn't have given AD an out, but it doesn't matter. Even if it gets changed to a no contest, Parker has bigger things to look forward to

Parker is lucky that he wasn't DQed straight away for that shot.
