This is such a long time ago, I heard Povetkin once lost in a fair way in his amateurcarreer as well. Sadly, nobody could show me the footage and wiki said all of his loses were discutable. But look at Kreisnot for example, he clearly improved a lot recently.

Joshua may have a glass chin, and I would love to see any of his amateur fights proving so. He may also be somewhat protected after SEVENTEEN fights, while Wilder is still protected after THIRTY SEVEN. There is a reason why Joshua is above Wilder in boxrec rankings -- even at 17 fights, he had a better opposition than Wilder at 37.

From what I recall (in the amateur ranks), Mihai Nistor knocked Anthony Joshua from pillow to post, forcing the referee to stop the fight. Dilian Whyte hurt AJ repeatedly and even decked him. And Magomedrasul Medzhidov also hurt the Brit several times and wore him down to the point he was exhausted, whilst standing on unsteady legs.

Kent Green stopped a very young Cassius Clay in amateurs. Rocky was 8-4. Not sure if he was stopped or it was just a wife's tale. Read Louis was beaten up badly very early on in amateurs.

Have the Klitschkos been stopped in amateurs? If so, probably hard to get on tape.
