Haye will have been lucky to clear that. Briggs got publicity and maybe just six figures at a push but I doubt it. £50k I'd say tbh
Haye earnt 1m. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/boxing/da ... ay-8024626
Briggs would have done well to get 10% of that.

I'd say 50k is a good guess. Why would anybody pay him more?
Mate come on. You really think he would take the fight for 50k.

the burden of proof isn't with us, it's on you, prove he didn't receive a penny.

Why would Briggs have agreed to fight for free? He really must have taken serious licks to his head to do that.
Never a dull moment on here mate. One guy thinks Briggs got a million quid, the other one thinks he got zero.

There is a reason the "Hayeday" undercards were so underwhelming. Haye's unlikely to be throwing six figures at supporting bouts, if it would impact on his take-home.

He took the fight for free, just the promise that Haye would fight him next. Both accepted but at the end lier/coward Haye realised Briggs was too good and refused to face him anyway.

How can I proof he didn't receive a penny? He didn't, he really didn't, exactly like he stated. If he did, it could probably easely been proven, but he didn't. If he didn't, then how could that possibly be proven?
I can't proof I never kissed your mum either, I haven't, I really haven't, but how can I possibly proof that?

What a load of tosh.
The thing is, when someone is this deluded it's a waste of time discussing anything. I've had several Briggs related back and forths with him. At the end of the day why bother? I've nowt against Briggs and I know the world if full of delusional eejits who cannae back down on a point so what's in it for me? We all know Briggs will put up a 'watch through the hands' type performance if he takes a meaningful fight at this stage in his advanced life. I hope he doesn't for his own health but it'll hardly be boxing first, or last, car crash

How retarded are you guys? He did it for free, assuming Daffy would fight him soon after. Briggs already said he fought for free, why would he lie if Haye could easely proof him wrong if Haye actually payed a dime? Haye would love to proof Briggs to be a lier, but he can't, because Briggs didn't and because Haye himself does all the time.

I'll admit it, you present a solid, thoughtful, rational arguement. Now that you have my full attention I'd be intrigued if you could provide your views on the following:

*The twin towers collapse

*The Philadelphia experiment

*Nessie

*Creationism

I look forward to your enlightening views on the above

I don't think there has ever been a pro boxer in this country who has stepped in the ring knowing that regardless of the result, he would not receive a penny. Listen to yourself man.

OK, let me just ask. What makes you think Briggs didn't get paid a single penny?

Briggs will say and do anything to get a big money fight, he's a social media junky whose only mission is to get one last big pay cheque. Just because he tweeted it doesn't make it true.

If there is/was a contract in place that forced Haye to fight Briggs one of two things would have happened;
1. Haye fights Briggs
2. Briggs sues Haye for loss of earnings (presumably six figures at least) due to breach of contract.

Come on, think about it, if there was a legally binding contract in place and Haye just ignored it, costing Briggs a massive pay day, you think all he'd do is moan in Twitter? He's American, those guys love a lawsuit!
