Poor Horse, you're seeing things. You've been drinking too much, or too little, I forget how it works with you. Anyway, you haven't drunk exactly the right amount.

But even then that word is so diluted no f*cking way could Liam smith be called a world champion when Gallagher turned down the Andrade fight. There's being a belt holder and a legit champ.Frazier71 wrote:2-5Boxing Prospect wrote:What's Gallagher's record in world title fights this year?
Crolla is the only legitimate world champion Gallagher has had

Really good fight, big credit to both lads.
What is it with Gallagher fighters making really poor starts in world title fights ?

Oh sh*t slightly off topic, but I just remembered when Scott took a dive against Wilder he basically fell to the canvas holding the back of his head as I recall. Is that just his thing? Hold the back of your head when you get hit clean and fall?
Re: Round-By-Round - Jason Sosa (c) vs. Stephen Smith - November 12th 2016
Most of them fight the exact same way. High guard, no head movement, struggle on the back foot, decent body work, only have a good first, last or middle six rounds.CaptainSpacerod wrote:Really good fight, big credit to both lads.

There's plenty of better trainers in the UK who deserve more plaudits than he does.

Superb fight. Think it was round 4 or 5 that must be candidate for round of the year. Smith proves he is World level.
Re: Round-By-Round - Jason Sosa (c) vs. Stephen Smith - November 12th 2016
It was a very good fight and he shown a lot of heart but Stephen Smith is simply not world class. Multiple fighters at the weight would beat him without issue.Batley18 wrote:Superb fight. Think it was round 4 or 5 that must be candidate for round of the year. Smith proves he is World level.
There is nothing wrong with with being a good domestic European level fighter.

I'd put him at the Martin Murray fringe level. He's good and will usually be competitive but I just don't think he's got what it takes to beat the divisions top fighters.Batley18 wrote:Superb fight. Joshua is an awful champion.
He deserves no respect as champion until he fights someone who's at least in the world's top 15.

Joshua stops being an awful champion when he beats Malik Scott. Got it
Re: Round-By-Round - Jason Sosa (c) vs. Stephen Smith - November 12th 2016
He'll be a significantly less awful champion anyway.Riddick Blowe wrote:Joshua stops being an awful champion when he beats Malik Scott. Got it
You can mock fighters like Scott all you want, but Joshua hasn't even stepped up to that level yet.
Joshua hasn't even stepped up to the level of Malik Scott victim Tony Thompson yet.

He's fought three top ten fighters, and his results were a KTFO loss and two clear UD losses in which he was dropped. Hard for me to call a guy like that world class, although I do think he's a solid EBU level type.
