I don't see any way this happens as a co-promotion. There is no way the two sides will agree the split in revenues. Frampton v Quigg was a different dynamic as you had a fighter in Frampton who had enormous appeal and more credibility in terms of his World title. This balanced out the exclusivity Matchroom have on PPV.

It's not exactly like Flanagan can point to the guys he has beaten in the last year or two and say to Crolla 'see my resume sh1ts on yours since I'v won my WT!'

If your gonna get a co-promotion you need to bring something big to the table. Right now it's 'oi I demand this be a co-promotion, you bring all the TV money, and your guy sells more tickets, and there's an argument your guy has beaten better opposition. Lets get it on.'

If the fight happens it will be because an offer is made by one side that's too appealing for the other side to turn down.
I think the Frampton fight happened coz Eddie genuinely believed Quigg would win. He doesn't fancy Crolla to beat Flanagan and that's why it won't happen. Ironically, I think Corolla wins this fight.

No Flanagan still beats Crolla. He'd beat Linares as well.

Still favour Flanagan. His workrate wins the majority of rounds with Crolla walking forward with his high guard.

I'm now leaning towards Crolla, Flanagan has been very disappointing in his last few fights.

I've changed my mind. I'm edging towards Crolla.

Flanagan looks one paced at world level apart from the Magdaleno fight.

I'm surprised Flanagan got the majority of the vote here. I don't think anybody outside of the U.K. is half as impressed by Flanagan as you all seem to be. To me he seems very, very beatable. There's multiple guys in the division that beat him I think.

Well the fight has lost its lustre right now so you can't expect Flanagan to give him a shot.

But Crolla has tremendous willpower, and will be hard to write off.

Anthony has been in some tremendous fights at domestic and world level and doesn't give up.

If he can rebound with something good I'd be very excited to see him in with Ricky Burns. Great in house fight between two who have helped make this era in of Britain's strongest at lightweight since the Buchanan and Watt era. Burns is another who's been written off and produced something.

I find it a bit ironic that team Flanagan have been critical of Sky ignoring them... Yes it is bad, but I feel there seems to be a swell of opinion that Flanagan should be considered #1 in the division based on... well I don't know what.

Arguably Flanagan's best win was against Mathews as a world champion. Even though Crolla's reign was very short, his opponents were better.

Flanagan ain't the greatest operator and crolla would try and pile that pressure on but I still say Flanagan points win

Strange quote from Warren:
Crolla might win popularity contests in Manchester, but Terry wins fights and that is what it is all about at the end of the day.
I think we can all name fighters who win fights who aren't as successful or popular, and often therefore more profitable for venues, TV channels and promoters, who don't win all the time.

Warren:
Anyway, it is all a bit rich coming from Mr StubHub, friend of the fans. At least our tickets are available at the box office as opposed to the secondary market sponsor!
I'm not a fan of secondary market ticket sales and a crackdown on them would be welcome, but they exist for one reason only; you have a product with a finite number, (x seats), and you have more people than seats who want to go, as well as more people than that who are prepared to pay more than face value.

The reason Terry Flanagan tickets are available from the box office by the boat load is because nobody would be able to buy any tickets for his fights and sell them at profit because very few people want to go to them in the first place. Warren can shout all he likes about how many people are there, but he'll know full well how many people will be there by virtue of being handed tickets for free.

So Flanagan is the best in the div is he? Beat Garcia and Linares would he? No, he wouldlnt so it's not bollocks he's not the greatest operator is it.

Would crolla suddenly try and box masterfully? No, no he wouldlnt, he'd try and fight his normal fight, pressure fighting.

I think Flanagan beats crolla on points

Hardly bollocks

I'd say his best win was Magdaleno, and to me Magdaleno and Petrov would be very similar in quality to Perez and Barroso. Id actually pick both Flanagan opponents over Barroso, whom I think will prove to be a one-hit wonder. In my opinion many lightweights wouldve beaten up that final fight version of Mitchell...

It's certainly true, however, that Crolla never had title fights against the likes of old, washed up Fana or tiny Cruz, and he demonstrated willingness to fight an elite opponent when he probably couldve racked up several more defenses at a lower level.

It HAD to happen when they both had belts last year but Joe Gallagher came up with every excuse. Hearn would do it ...........on his terms.

It's not happening we have to accept that.
