It depends at what level you are talking?

Pele Reid had three awful stoppage defeats in a row years back (Julius Francis, Orlin Norris and Jacklord Jacobs consecutively) and looked ABSOLUTELY finished. He came back to post some decent wins after that but any form was usually intercepted with a stoppage loss.

There are plenty of other examples at different levels though.
