Boxing Quiz!
Re: Boxing Quiz!
The one that pissed me off the most to have missed because I looked at it several times before I ran out of time and it just wouldn't come to me was Leon Spinks...when it filled in the blank at the end I was so pissed off. Of course I knew about Leon for some reason my mind just blanked on meolij999 wrote:90% (110 out of 122). Like a fool, I missed Marciano and Roy Jones, while getting the obscure ones.
Great quiz - thanks for posting. Are there quizzes for each division, out of interest?
I'm sure it was the same for you with Rocky and Roy.
I didn't even know guys like Jimmy Thunder ever had titles.
Further down the page on Page 1 there's a quiz where you can fill in the blanks of the Ring Magazine's Top 10 P4P lists since 1989
Re: Boxing Quiz!
Here's another for the Welterweight division. Name the Champions since 1975.
I'm about to play it right now after this post.

Re: Boxing Quiz!
There's a Middleweight Quiz. I only got 55% of those. It's a well made quiz though. Better than that Welterweight piece of crap one I put up a second ago.

I must have wasted half my time trying to spell 'Tszyu'. I'm sure I tried every combination of those letters but it didn't registerFinn wrote:72% didn't help (and I feel ashamed that I had this wrong) I though it was nelson azuma.
If I had another 10 mins I reckon I could have got 80% but I genuinely hadn't even heard of some of them.
Re: Boxing Quiz!
Did the heavyweight one a second time and got 100.
You just get absolute brain freeze. I counted 5 that I never got the second time that I did get the fvcking first time. Infuriating.

110/122, I never would have gotten thunder. I spent a good 2 minutes trying to spell Axel Schulz when he never actually was given the title.

Re: Boxing Quiz!
89%
For some reason I convinced myself that James "Quick" Tallis & Earney Shavers had won World titles...
I must have typed their names in 3 times each.

Re: Boxing Quiz!
I scored 75% on the P4P quiz.
It didn't help that I forgot Terry Norris, Winky Wright, James Toney & Antonio Tarver.
- All of which had multiple entries.

I wasn't even thinking about the Sim when I was doing it.gilgamesh wrote:And 3 of whom are involved in our current Sim season
I kept looking at the countries for clues & thinking to myself; "who the hell could that be"? - ended up just confusing me even more.
Re: Boxing Quiz!
86% and I misspelled Bermane Stiverne.
I got every single one up to 2000 with ease then it became patchy and I even missed David Haye.
In fairness I always had an encyclopedic memory of the heavyweights and studies their history to know most title fight results and some dates. I am good with the middles too but not great, pretty good with welters and light heavies and then more a case of knowing solid scraps around the rest.

Re: Boxing Quiz!
77% or 94/122
I got all the early ones and the first one I missed out was Greg Page, didn't get any of the later ones and my mind went blank on Tyson Fury and David Haye - probably on purpose...
Middleweights - 41% or 52 out of 124 - it's the modern 'champions' who stump me...![[icon_knockout.gif] :KO:](./images/smilies/icon_knockout.gif)

Re: Boxing Quiz!
93...I struggled on a lot of the shite champions we've had in recent years as well as all those IBO trinket holders.
Re: Boxing Quiz!
116/122 for a 95%
Great quiz.
Bloody IBO title stumped me, and I couldn't spell Sergei Lyakovich correctly at all..........
"T.M.K" / Col

Re: Boxing Quiz!
I've never even considered the IBO title significant so it's odd to me it was even on that quiz.milpool wrote:93...I struggled on a lot of the shite champions we've had in recent years as well as all those IBO trinket holders.

Re: Boxing Quiz!
74% in the first one spelling was a nightmare.. 82% in 2nd one couldn't Spell tsyu and forgot obvious ones like Nas and winky Wright.
