Wilder ducks Ortiz

Post by DannyMCR »

On Wednesday, Cuban heavyweight contender Luis Ortiz advised BS.com's Ryan Burton that he was ready, willing and able to fight WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder on February 25th at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama

Tell Wilder, 'hey I'm here, I'll take the February 25 fight. Let me know and stop wasting the fans' time with these fights'," Luis Ortiz (27-0-2, 23 KOs).

We eliminated anybody from consideration who has a history of PEDs. We are not going to fight any boxer with a history of PEDs on a month's notice," DiBella told BS.com

Well, that's one way of avoiding a fight

Wilder needs to step up and fight. It is a bullshit excuse to not fight someone because they have tested positive before. Make them immediately enroll in random testing. I read Fury said he will also fight Wilder on the February date. What more could he ask for?

Get Whyte to challenge Wilder ... Chisora as a back up would be worth brownie points especially if the Chisora v Whyte rematch didn't happen.
Could do in the UK Wilder might be open for that.

That makes him a pussy right? Real boxers like Ortiz have no problems with this.

It can't become Whyte any more as the text suggests.

I would say the coward here is the guy who needed to inject Nandrolone into his ass before a fight.

Ortiz has looked terrible in his last two (arguably three) fights.

People refrain from educating themselves with knowledge of any information that doesn't adhere to their preferred narrative.

If the facts aren't agreeable to them, then they get ignored.

The Nandrolone was inadvertent usage... He's a Cuban and they eat horse meat... Horses are sometimes injected with Nandrolone and other Steroids. He's responsible for what goes into his body -- but Stiverne was given a complete pass for using PED's... Let's have consistency.

Talking apples vs oranges. You don't inadvertantly consume steroids by eating horse meat, when you have been caught before, unless you are a total idiot. Stiverne's situation was completely different, no matter how many times you say it was the same.

I personally find it cowardly to have to use drugs to cheat.
But that is just my opinion

It's only cheating because there is still a sector pushing faux-morality preventing athletes from using every avenue to work for success. PED laws/rules are, for the most part, stupid and the only excuses made for them being a good thing are:

Health...as if sports are a healthy venture in the first place

and

Fairness or equality...as if all athletes have access to the same facilities, coaches, food, etc etc etc.

Ortiz tested positive for the anabolic steroid Nandrolone following a September 11 knockout victory over Lateef Kayode in Las Vegas. He was suspended, fined and had the result of the fight changed to a no contest by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. He was suspended for eight months from the date of the fight and fined him $8,000 (10 percent of his $80,000 purse) and he was even required to pay commission $450 for the lab test on his sample. Besides that, he was also required to perform 15 hours of community service... - See more at: http://www.BS.com/wilder-promo ... EQ4vv.dpuf

Why does everyone have to take a side in these debates

let have it like it is. Wilder is a protected fighter that hand picks sub-par opposition AND Ortiz is a proven drug cheat.

Why does it have to be one or the other

Didn't Ortiz test positive for PED's though, not that it would have mattered, since I doubt Wilder would have been willing to face him anyway?
