The fight, like most, didn't really live up to the hype either. Good scrap and I'm glad it was a free fight; it wouldn't have been worth paying for that.
Re: Thurman Garcia rbr
surely got to be thurman wide

Re: Thurman Garcia rbr
Thurman close or draw?
Re: Thurman Garcia rbr
There were a bunch of close rounds but if Danny gets this it is very close to being the R word for me.

Well, that's truecrusader wrote:Thurman has always found a way toodavie wrote:Garcia always seems to find a way to win.....and prove me wrong
So I see him catching Thurman with a left hook counter sometime soon and putting him to sleep
But you know what I mean, He's performed badly and eeked out a victory, he's been behind and found the knock out when he needed it and he's gone in as the underdog and upset the odds.
Thurmans always been favoured, pretty much always been ahead and never desperately needed a stoppage to get a shock win
Re: Thurman Garcia rbr
Definitely. I was expecting more, but Thurman looked in control despite it being competitive.punchoutsb wrote:The fight, like most, didn't really live up to the hype either. Good scrap and I'm glad it was a free fight; it wouldn't have been worth paying for that.

It will be a straight up robberyTanzio wrote:There were a bunch of close rounds but if Danny gets this it is very close to being the R word for me.

I agree. Became completely tactical in last 7. Good but not great fight.punchoutsb wrote:The fight, like most, didn't really live up to the hype either. Good scrap and I'm glad it was a free fight; it wouldn't have been worth paying for that.

Re: Thurman Garcia rbr
Split decision was bad enough.
Re: Thurman Garcia rbr
Split decision for Thurman. Should have been unanimous. Clearly

Man, boxing really loves to feck itself up the arse. Split decision. SPLIT DECISION.
The right guy won but my goodness I should have seen that coming.

115-113
Re: Thurman Garcia rbr
All we need now is bnovelists prediction that Thurman will knock his next opponent into orbit
Re: Thurman Garcia rbr
Lol, danny almost found a way to win again
Well deserved for Thurman...he won it comfortably for me

Re: Thurman Garcia rbr
Thurman clear wins and SD was unnecessary. One judge obviously was not watching the fight.
Re: Thurman Garcia rbr
I don't think it was a convincing win for Thurman. One point or two points at the most.

What did you think Garcia was doing to win his rounds?MachoTime wrote:I don't think it was a convincing win for Thurman. One point or two points at the most.

Re: Thurman Garcia rbr
What's more shocking, that boxing judges try and eff things up again or that Angel Garcia was trying to insert himself into the interview?
Thurman clearly won that fight, 9-3 for me.

Kevin Morgan should never be allowed to judge a fight again. How in hell can you have that fight 115-113 Garcia?
