I enjoyed the fight. Two highly ranked fighters going at it. Keith did what he had to do to get the victory. Danny was flat and his few power punches he landed had little effect on Keith.
close fight with the right fella getting the decision.

This was a highly technical showdown between two of the very best counter punchers in the sport. This isn't Ward/Gatti here. What did you think the fight would look like?

After looking at the scorecards, this fight was a draw. The third judge scored the Round 3 for Thurman and there NO possible way that Thurman won that round. Impossible. He makes the correct score on that round and the 114-114 is his score and the fight's a draw. He blew it.

You missed the comedy of Leonard encouraging Thurman to run late with the lead.

that realy happened? sugar realy did this  it was a close fight, it didnt work for oscar, i think sugars advice couldve backfired prety bad
It almost did. Thurman basically lost the last three rounds.

No, he didn't. Garcia barely landed anything in those rounds.

I gave Garcia the last 3 rounds, round ,10 was probably his best of the night.

Exactly. No damage done. Didn't look anything like the classic Leonard-Hearns reunification fight they desperately were trying to compare it to. Two blocky guys who couldn't or wouldn't break through each others guard.

Totally devoid of suspense, action, or heart.
just one or two pot shots and no amazing flurries or combinations - like a sparring session fight to make sure nobody got hurt so both can get their next payday in a few mths - Garcia's father talking about retirement could be a smokescreen - Once again another Al Haymon production looked curiously like another business WWE choreograph - For once just once can we see a fight by Haymon that really looks like a real all out war of a fight? Probably not -

I kinda had a feeling Garcia would have to go for broke in order to win. Had Garcia cut the ring off and let his hands go more in the second half he might have won.

Garcia needs to learn that if he can’t make adjustments by boxing ability, then he needs to do it by physicality.

Thurman took some power off his shots in the second half of the fight it seems to opt for quick in and out shots. Garcia shoulda became more aggressive then and tried to slug it out. :box:

I think that is what Garcia was trying to do in the last few rounds. Thurman was just too mobile. It's easier said than done in cutting the ring off on someone with the footwork of Thurman. Seems to be underrated.

True, plus Garcia's flat feet didn't help.

Im confused. How does garcia win the last 3 rounds if he didnt land anything and just kept walking around staring at thurman?

Danny doesn't seem as much of an offensive threat at WW and despite the last 3 rounds Thurman never appeared too bothered with the impact of Garcia's shots. The way Thurman ended struck me as unnecessarily risky to the outcome (though he was still well up on my card).

Exactly. He looked like Provo against Algieri or Canelo against Lara except Thurman was doing a better offensive job than Algieri and Lara.
