Yeah, personally, I'd much rather see a bunch of middleweight fights get made & show up on television than the constant group of the same welterweights. After Thurman-Garcia, I'm sick of the welterweights. Some match-ups make for good fights, but the only one that I see coming up that has me interested is Kell Brooks title defense vs Spence.

I enjoyed the Thurman-Garcia fight tremendously... But Thurman was given the wrong advice, just like Oscar De La Hoya was given the wrong advice vs Trinidad "to box smart" because Dan Birmingham thought Keith had 7 rounds sewn up and he could blow it by getting knocked out...

The odds of blowing a lead and getting knocked out because you're staying aggressive are less than 1% -- if you're a really skillful boxer who's already winning the fight on aggression... The odds of pissing off 1 or 2 righteous judges -- who find a way to score the fight for your opponent because they don't like you stalling and sitting on a lead and really would prefer that your opponent win anyway -- is like 25 to 30%.

Since experienced trainers know boxing judging is pretty damned screwed -- I'm always amazed when I hear an experienced coach sound overconfident.

Another is Eubank-Saunders 2... I wouldn't miss either.

Some good fights listed there, but I suspect only hardcore fans would be excited by those match-ups (barring the casuals that know about GGG).

Guys like Golovkin and Lemieux should fight on free TV to promote the sport. Casual fans are attracted by fighting and KOs, not by running with "not getting hit" excuse.
