Canelo vs Lemieux - stylistically is a superb fight aside GGG vs Canelo

After the punishment GGG gave him, and how he kept coming back, I have the utmost respect for David. He also dominated Stevens recently and seems to get better each tough fight.
I would pick him to beat Canelo on points. He would certianly be the best opponent Alverez has faced since Floyd. Kahn was always going to go down against Canelo so I don't count that

Lemieux wouldnt have to deal with a mobile target, but on the flip side, his straight ahead, wide swinging attack plays into Canelo's stationary countering style.

Canelo got judges. The only way to beat him is to stop him or humiliate him like Floyd did (which is not an option for Lemieux). If Lemieux lets it go 12 rounds, then he lost.

Luckily David hunts for the knockout from the opening bell, every fight. Even after he bounced N'dam off the canvas a few times he was still trying to finish at the end. I agree, if Canelo is still standing after 12 rounds he's getting the decision no matter what.

I think this could be one hell of a fight.

Lemiuex looked great against Stevens, he battered him, and he has looked a far better boxer since the GGG fight, when he was winging away from the opening bell walking onto shots.

Canelo is very good, but how is he going to do against a genuine MW with a huge punch.

I think this is a distance fight.

i think the wide-swinging stereotype is to an extent out of date with Lemieux

Lemieux is ok. Obviously his punch is his winning ticket. A good skilled boxer negates most 1 trick ponies
