• Attacking the arguer and not the argument, via name calling, to diminish the value of the argument
• “X must exist, because if it didn’t then how could Y be possible!” despite the absence of evidence
• Straw man: making a caricature out of a position or fabricating a fictional stance in order to make it easier to attack the arguer – not their words
• Mockery, derision and ridicule: No facts or logic instead of justifying the use of the dismissive language
• Dismissing a perceived failure to abandon one's position because “you just don’t get it”
• Badgering, which is repeating the same tactic again and again in an attempt to wear out the opponent
• Simply claiming that you're wrong without explaining the reasons why or providing evidence to the contrary
• Changing the subject when the troll is losing the argument to redirect the attention of the audience to another subject area where he thinks he can look better relative to the person he is debating
We’ve seen all of these tactics employed in this thread, with the vast majority of the responses being off-topic, since they don’t directly relate to the thread title or the facts that support Bob Arum's claims.

Re: Arum: Sergey Kovalev Request For Neutral Judges is Ridiculous!
Just so people don't get side-tracked by meaningless trolling, here are the facts again...
Main Events managed the promotion for the first Kovalev-Ward fight and they did not request the NSAC to appoint any non-American judges.
We know for certain that Sergey Kovalev has previously engaged in at least TWENTY TWO bouts on US shores where solely American judges scored each contest, which equates to 69% of the fights listed on his resume:
• Andre Ward
• Nadjib Mohammedi
• Bernard Hopkins
• Blake Caparello
• Cedric Agnew
• Cornelius White
• Gabriel Campillo
• Lionell Thompson
• Darnell Boone (twice)
• Grover Young
• Terrance Woods
• Julius Fogle
• William Johnson
• Dallas Vargas
• Kia Daniels
• Harley Kilfian
• Micky Stackhouse
• Ayodeji Fadeyi
• Michael Birthmark
• Darryl Johnson
• Daniel Chavez
It is commonplace for Main Events to use judges exclusively from America to officiate bouts for her stable of Eastern European and Communist fighters, such as: Tomasz Adamek, Vyacheslav Glaszkov, Sullivan Barrera, Vasily Lepikhin, Arif Magomedov, Madiyar Ashkeyev, Enriko Gogokhia and Dmitry Mikhaylenko.
As the A-side for the first Kovalev-Ward fight, Kathy Duva agreed to using American judges... and no one from Team Krusher or from Main Events complained about the issue during the build-up/promotion of the bout.

The request for neutral judges in any fight isn’t unreasonable – but the actions of Kathy Duva, Main Events and Sergey Kovalev are open to criticism, based on their track record.

EO is trying to cover his tracks by overloading the thread with his copied and pasted generic response. Please don't get sidetracked by this meaningless trolling. The real truth lies in page 4 of the thread. His avoidance of questions, inability to adopt a different stance and diversionary tactics are common ingredients of the troll.

EO is the dumbest poster ever. He listed Kovalev's previous opponents 3 or more times even though he was explained that what judges were used in those cases is irrelevant, as in those cases (except maybe one) judges didn't have a chance to rob him.

The stats I listed support Bob Arum's claims, as per the thread title.boxing_rocks wrote:EO is the dumbest poster ever. Complaining about a perceived lack of neutrality, whilst also possessing a proven track record of using American judges to score 69% of one's bouts is utterly moronic, hence the legitimacy of Arum's opinion, as per the thread title.

Making false claims is not equal to lying. It could be due to lack of knowledge or being plain stupid. For example, regarding EO, I am still not sure if he is a liar or an idiot. I am leaning towards the latter though.

Resorting to insults (like you have just done) when you cannot comprehend clearly articulated information and subsequently provide an intelligent response, makes you look really bad.

Long story short. EO agrees neutral judging. No point reading all the nonsense. This answers the OP
