Guillermo Jones

Post by Taansend »

Was just having a quick butchers at the Heavyweight Top Ten ratings on here & noticed that Mr Jones is number ten.

That's f*cking brilliant. He's almost as old as I am & I remember him challenging for the Light Middleweight title & he was MOVING UP in weight then

He's managed to sneak in at number 15 with one of them. The WBA, obviously.

By changing weightclasses you can get odd rankings, Bellew was also rank 2 or 3 heavyweight or something

I don't know, sorry.
They do step in at a good moment somehow, AJ Klitschko was at RTL 7 (allmost free channel), so who knows boxing might become something in the Netherlands, they are dominating heavyweight kickboxing league for ages now.

There's another guy Charlie Snjorter who was meant to be good but he failed a drugs test.

Colombian or Peruvian mate. Can't remember. He's busy enough but a bit of a powder puncher.

He knows how to WRAP things up though.

I'm sure they'll LINE up some decent opponents for him

It seems like you guys are fully in this kind of world, I'm sorry, but I'm not, the only Dutch heavyweight boxers I know are Tyrone Spong, who could become a top 20 ish heavyweight and Mauricio Junker, who I suggest to become a cruiserweight.
There are somehow a lot of people around with much potential, but who don't seem to be interested in boxing.
I don't know any of the guys you're fan of, but since he failed a drugs test, it doesn't surprise me I've never heard of him, such guys don't deserve any attention in my opinion, only in America and Brittain they might get.

One of the clauses of his second drugs ban was that he could only fight again as a heavyweight :o

Snjorter's got no movement, though. Just backwards and forwards in straight lines. He's a bit of a flake.

Still, at least he's white.
