There is no difference of Anti-Scouse abuse to any other kind of abuse, such as sexism, homophobia or secterianism - because Scousers aren't a ethnicity - the usual comparison of anti-scouse barbs to racism is redundant, or as redundant as anti-scouse barbs are to sexism or homophobia or sectarianism.

If someone from St Helens or Runcorn stated in a hurt voice that you calling them a wool is 'like racism against Asians' what would you say to them?

I never heard any of the 'scouters playing victim cards' stuff before Hillsborough. Very odd the way some people are about a genuine tragedy like that. But I think people from Liverpool understandably have an issue with accusations of all scousers being grief-merchant professional victims, which seems to stem entirely from the Hillsborough disaster and subsequent campaign for justice.
