I'm a bit worried about your posts - do you want to see people get killed???!
no, I want to see names in the ring rather than no name eastern Europeans.
Unfortunately Northern Ireland is lacking in HWs for Dubois to knock over...

In all seriousness, how would people match him next? Have to remember he is only 19 but if the ability is there, why hold him back?

It would be nice to see him in with someone with some punch resistance. Knocking over guys in 40 seconds is not beneficial in any capacity. Denis Bakthov has gone some good punch resistance, which out throwing anything too dangerous the other way. Failing that, would it be unheard of to throw him in an English level match up?

Sokolowski
Akinlade
David Allen

The above in his next six fights, in that order.

That fat Romanian dude that fought Parker would be ok I reckon. Should give him a few rounds. Sexton if he's wanting to actually fight, Cornish, Akinlade, Gorman.

its all a steady learning curve, he is a novice, and some guys are trying to match him up on here, have no idea what to do with matchmaking. give him time, he is just 19, let him go off to the states, learn from different gyms, etc, get him on a training camp

I agree, he's potentially ten years from his peak.
I'd give him a couple of good chinned/soft punchers before getting him in for a title. English maybe.

I agree that it would be very beneficial for Dubois to get some experience from a few different camps across the world. But it is very much like the situation with Joshua, perhaps even worse. People will want to see him at his level now, rather than these tedious learning fights. I'm a pragmatist, so I don't mind it, but can Dubois learn on the job like Joshua did? Would Dubois win now if you put him in with the likes of Charles Martin?

He had very few amateur fights. He's only 19.

I'd give him a few more easy touches. I'm more than happy for him to fight cannon fodder for 12 months and get to approx 10-0.

I'd try to find a few who are durable but the reality is he's probably not going to go past 3.

He needs experience and there's no rush.

He might do, but what happens after that? Is he then a fringe world title contender with four fights under his belt? Probably not, as unless he's something utterly phenomenal then anyone at that level would destroy him.

I think knockover stay-busy fights are fine whilst he's in single figures, building as he goes to domestic level once he's knocking on ten fights. There's absolutely no need to rush; Joshua is the biggest name in the sport as far as the UK is concerned and whilst fighting Wlad and unifying in less than twenty fights is quick it still took him three years and after ten fights he was still fighting the likes of Sprott and Gavern.

Time is on his side, but I hope the opposite doesn't happen and in six years or so we're looking at a 30-0 Dubois who's standout win is against a faded 34-14 Chisora.

Why the hell are we rushing him? He's 19
Canon Fodder for two years.
Like it said on TV the other day "three years to build and ten seconds to ruin a career"
Keep feeding him Zack Page equivalents, that Brazilian that Whyte flattened in one, The Cobra that Haye fought etc

Feel like I'm missing something with Dubois. He's to me, very much the roughest of rough diamonds at the minute.

He could well get to the top. There's something there. But he has a hell of a lot to learn.

They need to be durable. He'll learn nothing bombing people out in round 1.

He's got a head like a Ninja Turtle. I reckon it could hold a good shot.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I don't think for one second that he should be thrown into world fringe level inside single digits, I'm just saying even in his current raw state, he would probably beat a portion of the current top 20 already.

Happy for him to fight for the British at 10-0, maybe some point in 2018, then go from there. It sounds like he's got aspirations to be the youngest world title holder ever, so gives him around 3 years. I think that time frame is realistic, providing he doesn't get exposed as a not so elite fighter in that time.

Match him next with Dorian Darch.
Darch beat Howe, has beat the usual suspects from the east, beat Tom Little and had a go for 2 rounds against AJ when others at that point just folded and did fornicate all.
It's not a huge step up, but for a 19year old novice pro it's a step in the right direction.
After a Darch or Little, put him in with Lewison/Cornish/Sexton.
After that he'll be at British title level and we can roll out Chisora or Whyte.

That's the key - durable opposition. It's much harder to find in the heavyweights though, as if you get banged you stay hit.

Also opposing fighters' managers will be asking for a good payday as they know their boy will probably get banged out and they can demand a decent cheque.

I think Dubois would beat guys like Wawzyk and Gjergjaj right now and in very impressive fashion. But I'd prefer to see him against durable guys that may give him some rounds. Guys like Sokolowski and Yury Bykhautsou in the couple of next fights and after that - Ivica Bacurin, Willie Herring, Rodney Hernandez.

Dorian Darch is a great shout, I'd rather see him matched with British lads who come to have a go rather than puddings from Eastern Europe who fold at the first sign of a shot being thrown.

Difficult one, Dubois keeps winning in style, people will want to see the step up, but, he is only 19 and he's a lot of learning to do.

I don't agree with the British angle necessarily. There are too few tough, half decent heavyweights in the U.K. to provide onward tests. Just bring in people with hard heads who will try a bit wherever they're from.

I think he will be fed fodder for the next year or so. That's alright I suppose as long as he's out every month if possible. There's a few guys at area title level/British level I'd fancy him against right now though. As you say, there's definitely no need to rush him.

If he keeps bowling people over then Kevin Johnson would be a decent shout although Johnson would probably want another big payday for his services.
