I just watched the fight and I can thoroughly recommend itt ... to anyone who is struggling with insomnia. I probably watched about 90% as my eyes kept closing. Fair play to Hunter Sam who used all his experience to combat the young man who had all the physical advantages, 4" in height, maybe 40lb in weight. Sam was careful to keep from open warfare using guerrilla tactics, backing away for the most part, pawing away with outstretched right glove, occasionally bursting into action briefly, throwing wild shots which Fa didn't seem to know how to deal with, and claiming Fa whenever it looked Fa was about to land something meaningful. It occurred to me Hunter Sam was more Hunter-gatherer, but I'm not criticising, he fought a pretty smart fight.
Fa is hard to fathom: He appears to have a really good jab, but since he was struggling to land it on Sam, does that not mean the appearance is deceptive? If he were a big raw novice one could put this down to experience and a good experience at that, coming through an awkward test against a cagey old pro, but Fa was, as I understand it, an experienced amateur and should not have found it so difficult to impose himself on Sam nor to to avoid his more agricultural swipes.
It's a trivial break in his stride in comparison to what recently happened to Adrian Granat's promising career, but from where I'm sitting it doesn't auger well for his longterm prospects.
