Alexander Povetkin vs Andriy Rudenko Finalized For July 1
Re: Alexander Povetkin vs Andriy Rudenko Finalized For July 1
It's not logical because it's not possible to disagree with something if you don't know what it is. Not if you're the reasonable, rational, intelligent person I like to believe you to be.

Re: Alexander Povetkin vs Andriy Rudenko Finalized For July 1
He didn't try not to get caught... He didn't cheat in the 1st place... He didn't NEED to beat the system... The foxes are running the hen house and screwed himgilgamesh wrote:He took the drugs that were banned. Nobody put a gun to his head and made him take them. I kinda liked Povetkin, and wanted nothing more than to see him knock out Wilder, then that fight fell through because of his bullsh*t, I got no more time for him and I don't give a sh*t if I ever see him fight again.asdfjkl wrote:Povetkin is absolutely relevant, but even if you think he isn't, explain to me how he's responseble for it?gilgamesh wrote:
Povetkin is irrelevant. He has himself to thank for that.
He was a chickensh*t who ducked Wlad for years before finally fighting him and losing every round, and now he's ensured that he'll only leave a legacy as being a forgettable middle of the road contender. He'll never do anything that matters in the sport again because nobody that matters is gonna go to Russia to fight his drug cheat ass.
And for the record. I have very little doubt that several fighters aside from Povetkin do it and don't get caught, and all I got to say to that is, he should've learned not to get caught like those guys.
mesh do you ever think before you post???? ... He never TOOK any drugs that were banned... Both the WBC with the support of VADA reinstated Povetkin as #1 contender because they didn't have a choice... WADA was able to confirm Povetkin passed every test... VADA said they were wrong and he DIDN'T fail any test for Wilder... Then for the Stiverne fight they let Stiverne slide for a positive PED test... Povetkin was okay with it.. "Let's just fight" Then within 24 hours of the fight VADA flags Povetkin for having a 10th of a nanogram of Ostarine in 1 of many samples.. An amount so small it can only get there through contamination.. People aren't using their heads on this.
Funny, but Ostarine is a drug that has been banned for 8 or 9 years and just now they coming up with a flurry of positive tests for it all of a sudden??? ... It just happens to be an Aussie, a Canadian, and a Russian who all denied even hearing about the drug and swear they never took it...

When you know when you are going to be tested it makes it quite easy to be able to pass the test.Ruthless-RKO wrote:He passed a VADA test.. will be tested again after the fight..

A lot have failed those -- Including Roy Jones, Antonio Tarver, Andre Berto, James Toney, Fernando Vargas, Erik Morales, and Floyd Mayweather was given 3 "inadvertent usage" exceptions... So it seems it's been quite difficult for North Americans to pass those easily passed tests.

No... You're a stupid liar brown eyes... That statement is 100% true... All those guys got flagged for PEDs and Mayweather for illegal intravenous infusion.

And don't forget Mayweather had a theoretically impossible testosterone-to-epitestosterone-ratio of under 1 on several occasions, but the Americans simply refused further testing (normally they do additional tests after this happens, to see if he added both testosteron, as well as epitestosteron, to cover the ratio up again).
Re: Alexander Povetkin vs Andriy Rudenko Finalized For July 1
I wouldn't ask anyone to reach a verdict on this issue because none of us have all the facts. I would expect you to keep an open mind though because there are some things here which don't ring true. Maybe Povetkin is a drug cheat, maybe he is but was innocent on this occasion, maybe he is no longer a cheat or maybe he never was.
Granted not all of these four possibilities seem equally probable, but just accept there is room for doubt here and resolve not to let the WBC treat you like a sheep with particularly poor eyesight because, and I know this could come as a bit of a shock, the WBC are not primarily concerned with the pursuit of truth and justice.

I guess I wasn't aware of Mayweather's 3 different inadvertent usage allowances, or his several testosterone violations. I have heard he had tested dirty on 3 separate occasions too. I am guessing most if not all of the allegations against Mayweather come from jealosy and hatred, and were pulled out of someone's ass. Carry on though if it makes you feel better.
Lets not forget that none of the random testing would even exist today if not for Mayweather demanding it, and requiring it for his fights in the last several years.

Re: Alexander Povetkin vs Andriy Rudenko Finalized For July 1
Didn't Mayweather create his own schedule of when he was going to be tested himself?
Either way:

Under 1 is naturally impossible, he most likely added a pile of epitestosteron to his own body, to make the testosteron level look normal again, but putted in a bit too much.

WBO sanctions Povetkin vs. Rudenko
The WBO Intercontinental belt will be on the line on July 1 when former heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin returns against Ukrainian Andrey Rudenko at the “Russia” (Luzhniki) Concert Hall in Moscow.
The 33-year-old Rudenko is rated WBO #9, WBC #13 and IBF #13.
Povetkin is currently under indefinite suspension by the WBC for failing a doping test.

Lol, Manny deserves more credit for his obvious PED use.greg wrote:..if this doesn't exonerate him from any wrongdoing, I don't know what does..Badhusker wrote:I guess I wasn't aware of Mayweather's 3 different inadvertent usage allowances, or his several testosterone violations. No, T/E ratios less than 1:1 are not naturally impossible.asdfjkl wrote:Under 1 is naturally impossible, he most likely added a pile of epitestosteron to his own body, to make the testosteron level look normal again, but putted in a bit too much.

So will people just keep trying to ignore Povetkin and leave him unranked if he wins the WBO title?
He should probably be moving fast by the way. On the post-Wlad form he showed he'd destroy Rudenko and probably beat up Parker, but at his age things can go downhill fast.

Consider me corrected, I never thought he'd get the prestigious WBO international belt this quickly.punchoutsb wrote:Kinda sucks for all the "Povetkin is irrelevant" guysRuthless-RKO wrote:The WBO Intercontinental belt will be on the line on July 1 when former heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin returns against Ukrainian Andrey Rudenko at the “Russia” (Luzhniki) Concert Hall in Moscow.

If he has to pass drug tests he's a rollercoaster.crusader wrote:So will people just keep trying to ignore Povetkin and leave him unranked if he wins the WBO title?

Wasn't the crux of the argument that he wouldn't be rated by any organizations so he'd be stuck in Russia fighting without hopes of getting a title shot? He'll be next in line for Joseph Parker come July.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Consider me corrected, I never thought he'd get the prestigious WBO international belt this quickly.punchoutsb wrote:Kinda sucks for all the "Povetkin is irrelevant" guysRuthless-RKO wrote:The WBO Intercontinental belt will be on the line on July 1 when former heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin returns against Ukrainian Andrey Rudenko at the “Russia” (Luzhniki) Concert Hall in Moscow.

My thoughts were he'll never be relevant again. If the WBO international is an eliminator for a Parker fight than I'm wrong. I don't think it is.punchoutsb wrote:Wasn't the crux of the argument that he wouldn't be rated by any organizations so he'd be stuck in Russia fighting without hopes of getting a title shot? Re: WBO sanctions Povetkin vs. Rudenko
The Inter-Continental is the WBO's "second" world title. Fury/Kasi was for this belt and Fury secured a mandatory position because of it. Can you think of another reason for the WBO to strip the title from Tom Schwarz if they're not planning on using it as a springboard to get Povetkin/Parker made?SaadOffTheDeck wrote:My thoughts were he'll never be relevant again.
