Boxing News articles

Post by coreygardner »

Does anyone know who owns the copyrights to Boxing News?

It has some articles I need permission to use for my book, particularly from the 1950's....

You don't need permission , the content is considered to be in the ' public domain' ie public knowledge.
You should out of courtesy mention them as a reference for your content

Yea - the difference between quoting/citing a source and reproduction of the entire document - depends which is intended as to whether permission is needed or not.

It's not out of courtesy.. If you don't properly reference someone else's work it's plagiarism.. and refer to APerno's comment.
