I doubt this fight is going to happen after the IBF orders an immediate rematch for Dirrell

Think you've got the wrong Dirrell mate. That's his brother Andre.

Of course that's what he's doing. The Dirrell's are the biggest bunch of p*ssies I've ever seen in this sport. I'll be glad when I've seen the back of 'em and I'll be rooting for them both to get beaten severely every time they ever fight again.

Me too!
But isn't that the flip side of boxing.
To cheer for your favourites, and to cheer for anyone to beat guys like Dirrell's, Money weather, Aduckis, Broner, Wilder perhaps

Yeah. I find it's a more enjoyable viewing experience to be watching a guy you hate as opposed to a guy you feel nothing about. It's always a little more fun when you have some sort of emotional investment in the outcome. It's fun regardless though usually.

Smith now in the WBSS competition, incredibly so is Jurgen Braehmer, he looked dead at weigh in for 175 not sure how he makes 168.

Big decision, looks like Dirrel was going to get his own way and get the fight moved to Flint. Looking at the line-up, he looks to be 2nd faviourate behind Groves. Braehmer will have to cut off a leg to make 168 in any kind of shape. Wonder who the other 3 will be, Degale, Eubank Jr, Chavez Jr, Zeuge??

It needs another 3 decent bigger names....

Smith been really screwed over with this WBC title shot. Feels like years that he has been mandatory.

He screwed himself. Dirrell is still fighting for the belt, Smith has pulled out. They didn't want to fight in flint, but if that is the case they should have won the purse bids

No he wasn't, if you want to really get down to hit he hasn't done anything to earn a shot. Now he has a much more lucrative opportunity.

He's rank 1, he deserves a shot

He can have a shot, he'd rather be in the more lucrative tournament.

They did go to purse bids they ( Dirrels team ) won it. The never officially announced an LA card. It seemed the fight was going to be on the undercard of the Leo Santa Cruz Mares rematch but they haven't reached a deal. ( in fact the WBA just called purse bids for that.

You are bang on apart from that though. Smith has pulled out of the fight with Dirrell because he would NOT fight him in his home town FACT.

Watch Eddie Hearn and Joe Gallagher claim Callum to be a world champion if he gets this bull5h!t diamond belt.

Anyway looks like David Benevidez is stepping in. Just watch a 20 year old step in and smash Dirrell in Flint now.

Benevidez when he develops will be multiple levels above Callum Smith he already has a better win on his resume.

If the bold was true then Dirrel v Benavidez is more marketable on that undercard anyway.

Let see watched Benevidez v Medina a couple of weeks ago on the PBC website. I'm on the hype train considering his age he looks a very special prospect.

:OhYes: He definitely passes the eye test. I think that he could rule the division but if he isn't joining the tourney it will be down the road before we find out for certain. He will also be moving up to at minimum LHW before he is 25, imo.
