Does referee/umpire give quick heads-up on thinking in any other sport? Some boxing refs have adopted Stanley Christodoulou's no balls crap. He had a habit pleading with corner during rest period to call it quits because he feared premature stoppage accusations.
Never sure which was my favourite ref's name... Stanley Christodoulou or Frank Cappuccino???

I agree with BB....to me refs giving a couple of words between rounds isn't an issue, and it would take very poor corner work for that to significantly disrupt things.

Happens pretty regularly too, with things like foul warnings and instructions to touch gloves. I'm sure trainers and fighters are used to it..

Ye God's it seems that every major fight these days that doesn't end in a clear KO win attracts accusations of robbery. If it goes to the cards they are questioned, or if one fighter is stopped on his feet it's premature. I'm all up for a bit of debate but sometimes it grows tiresome...

Watched it again and still of the opinion Horn won a close fight , Manny just did'nt have what he used to have , he was getting bullied and man handled all night , Horn cleaned up the early rnds and won the later rnds , Manny did relize he was losing but try has he may , he could'nt bring back the old Manny ,Manny seemed to have trouble adapting to Horns lack of finesse , It certainly seemed apparant Manny just could'nt work him out he does so many things wrong by the book , time for Manny to give up . Khan would beat him and that would really be a shame to see ,

Brook and Spence would stop him ,,

fight i would like to see now is Khan and Horn , Horn may stop him he may not , but it would be interesting ,, Brook should school Horn , but i'm not too sure about Brook , now , he certainly does'nt mind giving up if it gets a bit rough in there . , 2 interesting fights that shuld secure the young Aussies future .He should stay away from Spence he'll get stopped , and Mayweather would probably see the Aussie has too tough and most of all unconventional .

100%
Stay away from Thurman and Garcia as well.
He is still a bit green as a pro. But he has proven a lot. Your also right about PAC trying to turn the fight around. He missed a lot and none of the massive combinations he has been renowned for in the past

I finally got round to watching the fight. While Horn was busy, lively and game throughout, I thought he was an absolute mess of a fighter, very raw, leaning in with that right hand and frequently looking off balance. Any of the current top welters eat him alive. The fact Manny didn't win a clear victory says it all to me....he is past it and should retire. A sad end to the career of a great.

I don't think he was robbed. Manny landed well moving backwards but didn't look comfortable in the way that say Crawford or Floyd do while doing the same thing and allowed himself to be pushed about by Horn who gave the impression of dominating while landing half as many punches.

Manny looked like a pale imitation of himself, he should retire and concentrate on other stuff. Its not like he doesn't have a whole load of other things he could be doing.

The most surprising thing about this fight was that Eubank Jr. hasn't called out Horn.

Not a robbery at all. I think I scored it 115-113 to Pacquiao but could easily see a draw or the same for Horn. The wide card was way out but the other two were fine.

I also thought the ref did a good job after R9, Horn was lucky he let him see the round out IMO, and his warning clearly woke Horn back up and he did great in R10 (also due to Pac being tired after the onslaught).

It was a good effort from Pac to get back into the fight after a fast start from Horn, but Horn kept it close throughout with his effort and energy. Was sad to see how Pac couldn't close the show in R9, reminded me of Wlad letting Joshua off the hook a little.

You 'think' you scored it 115-113? You either did or you didn't. Sounds like you didn't.

If you did, how can "easily see" the e for Horn? That's a 4 point swing. You would have to accept taking 2 rounds you thought Pacquiao won and give them to Horn, who you think lost those rounds. How is that acceptable?

Some fans are just too flippant when opining on scores.

Apologies to the scoring police. My scoring, like yours, is completely irrelevant.

It's not difficult to envisage 2 rounds which were extremely tight going the other way, that is a very small swing in the scoring. There were lots of close rounds, it was quite messy.

Get off your high horse.

Very close fight. I felt Horn had done enough from some very impressive early work, but Pacman had a brilliant 9th and pegged back quite a few rounds in the 2nd half of the fight.

What shocks me is that there is any uproar over the decision !

I've just watched the fight for the first time and the one thing I can note is that, in amongst all the cries of 'robbery', I haven't really read anyone saying that it was an enjoyable and competitive fight. I watched and scored and I had it 115-113 for Pacquiao but there were two really close rounds over which I was unsure (I scored those one a piece) and I scored the ninth as a 10-9 because there was no knockdown, I'm not sure what the protocol is in WBO fights for scoring a 10-8 if there is no knockdown.

I had the fight even after four rounds and again even after eight, and I gave Pacquiao three of the last four. I have no preference at all for either fighter so I think that I watched from a fairly neutral standpoint.

Anyway, I don't really think that you can call the fight a robbery although obviously the 117-111 card (or whatever it was) is ridiculous...

This is the view of just about everybody who didn't watch the live ESPN viewing.

It was the highest rated boxing show in over ten years here in the USA but it was f*cking ruined by that f*cking useless c*nt Teddy f*cking Atlas & his shitehouse f*ckwit biased f*cking commentary.

I didn't have any strong feelings about him either way until last week but he's a proper f*cking idiot & no mistake.

By the way, I've have plenty of people tell me I know "nothing about boxing" as "Pacquiao clearly won 8 of the 12 rounds & the 9th was a 10-8" on my American Facebook. Everyone is very upset & this is the reason why boxing is dying

This is from c*nts who watch two fights a year.

I was an excellent fight and thank god for Steve Bunce and Steve Lillis for providing sanity when so many were clearly losing their heads.

entertaining and competitive fight between a past it ATG and a fresh lesser skilled contender, at the final bell I felt Horn had done just enough for the win. Australia isn't one of the major players boxing wise but still managed to pack 55 thousand into a stadium in the daytime for a fight, well done to all involved :salut:

Atlas is an opinionated guy and will be unlikable if he goes against what you think - but the guy sure isn't boring, and on this occasion he was correct - Horn simply did not win that fight.
