The truth has to come out . Kovalev got rocked more than twice with LEGIT BODYSHOTS and Kovalev started COMPLAIN LMAO.

-Kovalev got rocked by legit body shots and started complain (Weeks even laughed on him because it was a pure ACT)
-Kovalev gassed out and would likely lose anyway
-Kovalev did not even defend himself and that was his mistake
-Kovalev hisemlf said that it was "bordeline". So the jokes about "nuttcracker" Ward by his haters are rather than terrible.
-This time it was Kovalev who got rocked several times and was HURT
-Golovkin , Abel Sanchez and many others had no problem with the result

And yes it was pretty early stoppage and they robbed Ward of more legit TKO victory.


This stoppage was terrible because Kovalev wanted it no more. He started complain about legit bodyshots and was hurt more than once.

Weeks saw everything and he even laughed when Kovalev started ACTING and whinning.

Also Kovalev did not defend himself for more than 30 seconds after being rocked badly.

Look brainless...that was a deliberate low punch and should have been a point deduction. They selected that punch for this video because it wasn't as egregiously low as many others Ward threw -- but ANY punch below the navel line is low... Where in the rules and regs does it say punches on the foul protector or on the waistband are legal??? It's hilarious to me how upset people get with this topic and I think it will be that way in ten years when we look back at this one. Kovalev broke my heart in this one because I was really pulling for him but I can't bring myself to discredit Ward for the win. Ward clearly won the fight. I hated the ending...Weeks absolutely blew it. Yes Kovalev stopped fighting but so did Ward when Kovalev did that. It happened twice in the fight and Ward stopped punching both times which i thought was admirable.

Weeks should have called it a knockdown, give Kovalev a standing count and then ask him if he could continue...look in his eyes and see where his head is at. This was too big of a fight to make a premature call like that especially when Kovalev was not receiving a lot of damage. Ward stopped punching prior to Weeks stopping the fight. DUMB. But Ward was getting the KO either way.
