IBF mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev has REJECTED a fight vs. IBF, WBA 'Super' & IBO heavyweight World champion Anthony Joshua on October 28th.
The fight was set to be held at either the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff or the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Pulev's reason for rejecting the fight was he needs a minimum of 4-5 months to train for the fight. His position as IBF mandatory challenger is now unknown, but he risks the possibility of losing the mandatory position.
It is expected that Joshua will now fight WBA mandatory challenger Luis Ortiz - who he originally planned to fight early in 2018 after the Pulev fight - before the year is out.

According to a post I read on another boxing forum on Facebook, a very reliable forum, Ringside Report - The Heart Of boxing its saying that Pulev has declined the fight as he is not prepared and the favourate to be boxing AJ next is Ortiz. Could well be just paper talk or geniune information.

I think Pulev should wait in line again, he's the one declining a fair offer, he can now wait for the purse bid or/and defend his own spot, like Povetkin also had to do while Povetkin never declined at all.
