From memory I didn't think he'd done more than a 1,000 ticket show before he signed up with Hearn?! I know Wood, Josh and his wife do a lot to sell them but it's no coincidence that more people want to buy his tickets after seeing him promoted in decent fights on sky. Wasn't he doing 6-7k for his last few matchroom shows?

People actually upset frampton signed with Warren. I just don't get it......there is too many Matchroom FC supporters on here. Frampton will sell out his shows regardless of who his promoter is.

Thinking Matchroom are the best promoters domestically doesn't mean you're a Matchroom FC fan.

My worry here is what allegedly has form for with top drawer talent. He knows Frampton sells against nobodies so why risk him? Look at what he did with Hatton and Calzaghe. Yes they got there eventually but dear me it took an age. I get the impression that if he'd signed Joshua we'd be talking about the build up to his fight with Chisora at the Copperbox this October.

Doubts over Warren are understandable, because his top guys, Saunders and Flanagan, have seen their stocks fall dramatically. It's not all on him of course, but there's no hype with Warren for the most part.

However this is the biggest name on the BN roster, as previously stated, he'll smash ticket sales against anyone. Frank can't get this wrong for me. Out at the end of the year against some top 30 fella, then next year either Selby or Santa Cruz 3, at Windsor Park.

To be fair I think those are reasonable comments/concerns. I think however Frampton himself is no mug (although perhaps I am for believing what he says ha!) but I think genuinely bar perhaps one smaller fight pre Christmas to end the year with a win. I genuinely think he'll have been pretty forceful in the negotiations with the promoters as he's big on the Windsor Park night etc I don't see him settling for multiple small fights.

If Warrington wins his eliminator for Selby then I think it would be hard for Lee not to accept that fight immediately as it would realistically be his biggest money option and a very winnable fight. Hope he hires some serious security though...Leeds v cardiff

Meanwhile, if As I expect will be the case Warren will target the WBO Champ Valdez for Frampton early next year at Windsor park. I'm pretty certain the announcement tomorrow will be even an eliminator next for the belt next for Carl- although I would be surprised if the opponent is finalised yet.

As it would in Ireland. They'd be better off drawing 40,000 each against different opposition. Half of Josh's fans won't even buy red cars, or say the word "Manchester". No way are they fighting there.

It was mentioned in today's Daily Mail that Carl's split from Barry McGuigan was allegedly (no pun intended) because he was owed a considerable amount of money from his last two fights. I thought this a very surprising piece of news, considering Barry's acrimonious split from Barney Eastwood for reportedly similar reasons (once again by the Daily Mail). Any thoughts?

It could work wonders for Frank. He has got his Marque signing, it could also help Jamie conlan as well as more people will watch. Remember Hearns main events have not been that good, until recently. Its only two and half years ago we had brook vs gavin cause he could not find big names. Hearns undercards have always been poor and still are. Except for warrens last cardshis undercards have been far better.

If the show does sell out (and people re-sell on StubHub) it'll be interesting to see Warren questioned about it given his stance re: matchroom tickets being sold on there.

Bit of an underwhelming opponent for Frampton but given he's been out of the ring a while and has a new trainer I'm not surprised.

I'm disappointed though in Tete's opponent. A typical FW WBO opponent who hasn't beat any fighters of note but finds himself in the top 15 and who will come cheap. There's been lots of talk about Burnett, McDonnell but it's hard to take him seriously compared to Burnett's opponent.
