It HAD to happen when they both had belts last year but Joe Gallagher came up with every excuse. Hearn would do it ...........on his terms.

It's not happening we have to accept that.
cant only blame Hearn and Tesco Joe, Crolla has to demand the fight or he is equally to blame...

Can still happen. Crolla is the name fighter even without a title. Warren and Flanagan just need to accept that.

from an interview with Crolla -

"I'm fed up with saying it and I'm sure Terry probably is well: I've got no problem with the fight, Terry's got no problem with the fight."

"I know he thought I looked like an old man in there on Saturday night, that's cool (laughs). The old man shout was funny and I didn't mind. Terry's entitled to his opinion. I hope he gets the big fight that he craves soon."

"If he comes through the mandatory [against Ray Beltran] and I have another good win then maybe he gives a f**k me (laughs). We might fight! Who knows."

Flanagan's cousin works at my gaff - apparently prior to the Linares fights Crolla's camp offered the unification to Flanagan but it was a ridiculous offer like 80/20 or 75/25.

They want the fight but now Flanagan is the only world champion Crolla has to realise he is now firmly the B-Side.

Saunders is also a champion but he's going all the way to Canada to defend against a Canadian because he has no fans and nobody knows who he is.

Crolla Flanagan is a big fight but Crolla makes it. Flanagan may be a world champion but he's defending against the likes of Cruz to nobody in particular and the general public, (like it or not, they need to be interested for fights like this to work) don't know who he is. From a financial POV Crolla is key.

I hope this doesn't go the way Calzaghe went in the pre-Lacy days; continuous harping about his WBO title whilst remaining happy to call out all and sundry but actually fight cheap opposition.

He's going for the cash. He's entitled to a 70-30 split if it would have gone to bids and the Canadians would have bid big so the purse must be excellent.
As for no fans.... Eubank Jr. said after his recent win, when asked if it was hostile "when you've boxed in front of 15,000 gypsies screaming at you, nothing bothers you". Now Dirk, I don't need reminding of ANY of BJS's fights, or their attendances, so save yourself the bother.

If he was that popular he wouldn't be fighting in leisure centres would he?

As for the comments about 15,000 gypsies, you seem to have forgotten Tyson Fury headlined that card. Saunders on his own does pathetic business, hence literally fighting in a world title fight in a leisure centre.

I've forgotten nothing. How many other leisure centres has he boxed in?

If he was that popular he wouldn't have fought in any whilst defending a world title. Totally embarrassing for all concerned.

He's just not that popular. Let me guess; your mates think he is, therefore stuff like buying tickets/going to fights don't count yeah?

You said leisure centres. Plural. Most of my friends aren't keen on him. I've seen him live a few times.
