Finally, a night full of good fights
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
That was an awful stoppage and these garbage announcers aren't even questioning it.

It sure was, that could have been a good one.jockpunk wrote:That was an awful stoppage and these garbage announcers aren't even questioning it.

It was definitely a premature stoppage, and I'm surprised they didn't make mention of that.jockpunk wrote:That was an awful stoppage and these garbage announcers aren't even questioning it.

LMAO, they don't seem to see the mask of blood on Gutierrez face either.jockpunk wrote:That was an awful stoppage and these garbage announcers aren't even questioning it.
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
Mares completely outclassing Gutierrez. Looks like Gutierrez is probably gonna last the distance, but Mares is outboxing him thoroughly.
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
Gutierrez's eye is bleeding a hell of a lot worse now.
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
That's it. TKO 10 Mares

I'm having a hard time staying awake. Luckily an even bigger mismatch is next!
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
That went on a few rounds longer than it needed to. That's a bad cut above the eye.
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
Mares looked sharp, but Gutierrez was out of his depth.
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
The Jr. Middleweight card should be more competitive.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:I'm having a hard time staying awake. Luckily an even bigger mismatch is next!
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
Yeah. I watched a few rounds of Gutierrez about a week ago, and I thought to myself. "He's too stiff, Mares is gonna outbox him easy". That's how it went down.Tanzio wrote:Mares looked sharp, but Gutierrez was out of his depth.
I picked Mares to win a decision, but I had the feeling that cut was gonna cause the stoppage when it got opened so early in the bout.
He split it open bad there in the 10th.

Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
Ok...they went to the scorecards for some reason. I assumed Mares would've won by TKO since the cut was clearly opened by a punch.

Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
That was weird, of course nothing from the telecast. Mora is in love with Robert Garcia.
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
Real weird. Maybe they didn't want a stoppage loss on Gut's record.

Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
This shouldn't see the halfway point.
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
If LSC is on it, I agree.
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
I hope you're right. Santa Cruz doesn't tend to be a big banger though.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:This shouldn't see the halfway point.

Avalos landing decent uppercuts.

Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
He doesn't have to be a banger.
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
LSC just turning up the heat on the lobster.
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
Avalos comes out firing in the third. avalos investing body. Gets caught. Now LSC TO BOD.
Close round 3
Close round 3
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
Avalos is a freakin zombie chin!!
Re: Finally, a night full of good fights
Had a pretty decent bet on Mares to win on points with Bet Bright and they've settled it as a loser. How can they claim it was a TKO win when scorecards were read out?
